ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.
Who cares.
Is TB really going to upset our masses of Japenese members but calling them Japs?
I bring more non Anglos to the games than everyone apart from Kareem.
Loosen up Vic.
NotedI am one of those members with Japanese lineage and I can tell you for certain "Jap" is offensive. I grew up on the coast and for the most part it was pretty great. However when somebody threw the word Jap around I can assure you it wasn't a term of affection and now matter how you try and ignore it, you think about it and it can gnaw inside of you. It's only a word but some words carry much more weight and meaning when on the other side of them and I think understanding and respecting that makes all the difference. I am not shouting 'racist' as I don't think most people who use the word are but I do want them to know that it does have an impact and hopefully they'll take this perspective on board when thinking about using it again.
Off the soapbox now -- let's win a game tomorrow!
Sorry to hear you will be hanging out with the Victory fans. Always knew the heavy handedness by the A League & cops was just a way of uniting MV & WSW.All the best to CCM and its supporters in tomorrow night's ACL game.
Our three Australian clubs' participation in this year's competition has seen the old rivalry set aside for the common national good of our football.
There will be lots of WSW/RBB travelling fans in Japan staying on to 'support' MV on Wednesday - hopefully that will be after we get a result tomorrow night against Kawasaki, which will be very tough to back up esp after you guys finished us off on the weekend in the HAL!
