ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

We would be crazy not to sign him for as long as he wants to play. I'm sure his professionalism and his pride in his performance would keep him from doing a "Punter" and continuing to play beyond his use-by date.

in recent weeks, i think some of us would have seen Kwasi up on the roof at the club in his suit not doing a whole fkn lot, and this game just past , ccm v the jets , Kwas and Porter were up there and Brad wasn't even in a suit....does this mean they are outward bound ??

. neither were presented with a ham at the post match function either

. on a completely unrelated topic ... how well does the chinese second division pay?

I understand Kwassie copped an ankle injury in China that went untreated and has now developed into a long term problem.

I do not know what is wrong with Porter.

I hope we keep both of them, as I do not think either have reached their use by date yet.

Kwassie was one of our best in last years grand final, was our super sub and scored a lot of useful goals.

Porter is great back up as a right back or midfielder and should not be written off due to one poor game when he was playing totally out of position as a central defender.

It is amazing the difference when players play in their correct positions, eg Hutch and McBreen.

McBreen?
I agree with the sentiment for Porter and Hutch
But what is McBreen's position? He has been pretty crap striker in the past 12 months.
But as an attackin mid, he found some form...and that wasnt his position!

. i believe the inference was that mcbreen's 'proper' position is midfield

sooooo, transfer window soon, ACL soon, any rumours out there? wanna start some? who would you sign? what spot would you want to strengthen? personally i think we need to be looking towards life after musty, signing his longterm replacement now to to come off the bench for him and fill for him when he is on international duty...

I would like that person to be Aaron Mooy...

regardless of McBreen's ineffectiveness currently as a striker...i still classify him as a striker. In the last 17 years, he has played 90% as a striker (from what I can gather)

I see Mitchell Mallia may be making his debut for Sydney this weekend - there is a kid I wish we had been able to hold on to.

McBreens strike rate is only 4.25 goals per season since he turned pro.Although he has played as a striker his success rate is about as good as Dutchy`s (since Dutchy has been with us).
I don`t have any stats on his assists which may show a different side to him.

Surely as a professional athlete Kwassie would know the importance of getting treament ASAP.If he didn`t get treatment then maybe the fault lies with him.
Surely in the land of acupuncture & acient treatments etc. he could have found some sort of doctor.Otherwise , he should have had it checked out as soon as he got home.
I find it hard to believe also, that Clarkey wouldn`t have picked up the injury in a training session prior to Kwassie playing.

Kwas got a bad ankle injury in his final game on loan, when he got back he saw the specialist, it didn't heal as they thought it would and actually got worse which is why he's only doing light training.
