ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Hernandez as our number 10 would be great ... add Duke from the youth team ...

I don't know about Carlos at 10 - but Arnie has a mammoth job going into the ACL, especially if we get past the group stages as he has around half the squad up for renewal.

We lose Baird in a couple of weeks, then at the end of the season we will definitely lose Musti and probably Pat. We only have Ryan, Pasfield, Wilkinson, Bozanic, Hutchinson, McGlinchey, Hearfield, Pelligrino, Kwasnik, Ibini-Isei signed until the end of next season. At the end of this season Rose, McDonald, Gallagher, Bojic, Sainsbury, Griffiths, Musialik, Porter, Simon and McBreen are all off contract. Plus there are reportedly a couple of good prospects in the NYL.

To retain who you want, replace who you want to let go, while trying to set ourselves up for a much better ACL tilt, all while money is tight will be a monumental task. Let's hope Arnie is up for it.

"The Mariners travel to Wellington next week and will be further boosted by the return of midfielder John Hutchinson, who left in July to join Chengdu Blades in the Chinese Super League on loan" (The World Game - http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/a-league/news/1079121/Arnold-pleased-with-showing)

will Hutch give us anything more than we already have (apart from depth of course)? I think Griffiths is a far better DM so unless we have further injuries in the centre-back positions that might require Griffiths to be pushed back, I'm not sure Hutch will get a start. thoughts????

I don't think he should get a start in front of the current lot... not sure where he would slot in? Maybe at CAM but McBreen seemed to be all over that last week, so you would think he would get another crack at that this week. I think we have tried him up front in early days with Lawrie and that didn't work out too well either? Maybe he would replace Pellegrino on the bench?

Does anyone know how he went in China and what position he was playing etc?

(lots of questions here, lol)

AM perhaps, he may be a revelation. His attacking abilities have been hidden while he has been playing DM.

May be worth a try if necessary.

Maybe should get pelle's bench spot.

He has played AM before and he can't play there.... Looks to play square or backwards and doesn't drive forward. Dm is his spot as cover when needed IMHO.

The bench has had no defensive cover the past two weeks-Hutch will sub a tiring Griff, or one of the other mids if we are ahead and decide to shut up shop with 20 to go.

Happy to have Hutch instead of Pelle but Hearfield has played a lot as RB and CB

TBH I don't know if Arnie is going to use Hutch much at all this season. The league and style of play has moved on which I don't think are suited to Hutch. A fantastic servant of the club but I don't see his contract being renewed.

Was on during the last home game.

I thought hutch was a chance to stay in china, cant see him getting much gametime.

Pelle has sucked, for me, i thought mcbreen was quiet first half, but really took it up a notch, BAM!, in the second.

Though he is worth persisting with, i have for a few seasons now thought that we play way better with 3 strikers.
