ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

No one knows who’s man is who’s

Wellington players sitting in between our lines with room to move.

Stats are even after 30min.
Except for the score of course.

Does such inability really come down to individual skill or coaching? Like, I've seen NPL teams with way worse players than we have keep a tighter structure than either of those goals.

I'm not jumping on the anti Staj bandwagon, just asking the question

Yeah I was just thinking the same thing. There was a debate on here awhile ago. Someone posted a research paper about it.
My opinion is the coach has a lot to do with it.
Mulvey and Staj were meant to be safe, experienced appointments. It just hasn't worked.

32m 38sec

4 defenders around 1 forward.
No one even knew he was there and free right on the 18yard.

I’m sorry as just mentioned.
This one on Staj tactically and motivationally to get your players being leaders and directing.

Must say although I didn't see him last week Clisby has done a 180 on his early season.
Getting zero reward for his runs though.

Coach aquires and picks players, makes strategy.
My answer? Coaching.

No leader at the back to tell the others what to do.

Hey Kye push back or watch this guy etc.

That said first goal was miller just with no spacial awareness so that’s a player error.

long ball watched and not defended. Can be structure but it’s no communication or knowledge of what to on the field imo

Sadly Miller is showing why he was dropped last week. Having a Barry Crocker
He just second guesses himself in attack way to much and dribbles to close to the defense when he is unsure of what he is doing and gets caught.

when he has space and attacks and tries his tricks he’s good.

not bad for a kid with no RB experience but he is starting to be picked apart by the coaches and his to hesitant in attack just throw a cross in early when you have Harold
