ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Death From Above 1979 - Going Steady (off "You're a Woman, I'm a Machine").

Song and album both worth looking up, band consisting of only a guy on bass/synth and a guy on drums. Sadly they've been broken up for a few years now but what they created is absolute madness.

Muse "Uprising" (New)

"They will not force us
They will stop degrading us
They will not control us
We will be victorious"

Muse "Knights of Cydonia" (OLD, well relatively)

No one's gonna take me alive,
The time has come to make things right,
You and I must fight for our rights,
You and I must fight to survive,

nothing? thats just a small example of lyrics, riffs and solos left out.
You can enjoy the album however you want to, I just think they're playing it safe.

Disagree - it's the continuation of the same story that they've been telling from the get-go. KoC was the last track of the previous album and Uprising is the first track from the current album.

Went out and bought Muse.....The Resistance and Absolution yesterday.

It's a long time since I've been so impressed with a band on the first listen.

Exogenesis:Symphony parts 1,2 & 3 is a masterpiece. How this guy blends modern rock music with classical style piano and makes it work is just superb.

Any old rockers out there who, like me,despaired of modern music (doof doof, boy bands and girlies miming) should have a listen......faith in the younger generation has been restored  ;D

Still to listen to absolution  :)
I've listened to 'Absolution' a few times now.

Unlike 'The Resistance' it hasn't made me go "wow this is f**kin brilliant" etc etc

I've had it on in the car while driving around at work so I've listened to it several times and it is growing on me.When I go back and play 'The resistance' I still think it's a far superior album though.

There's definetly a lot of 'other' influences coming through on the new album. With the passing of time it will become a classic imo.
