Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

being across from 'the squadron + kazes' and 'the cove' on derby days is way to mouth-watering to give up.
bay 1 ftw

well is it possible that the away supports could be moved to bay 11/12 then we can see them and we will get a better area to create noise and wat not

i think being in bay 23 will give all of the marinators a better view of the game

the view from both bays is the same just opposite ends..
look at the map.

i guess your right but we do get the screen and have a much better place to arouse support for our team, which is what the marinators aim to do right?

There are so many more pros than cons about bay 23 that everybody is overlooking here

bar behind the bay, if they go thru with it = awesome
be in the ground 2 minutes after leaving the club if you want to = awesome
roof = awesome
if its reserved seating, and if there are cheaper tickets for students, which we are working with the mariners to have available = awesome
can actually drink in it, as its not bay 2 and alcohol free = awesome
close to food and toilets = awesome

the down side? 20 minutes of sun for 4 home games in 9. boo hoo

+1

Access to Bay 1 is easy too...there is another entrance remember!
I think being opposite the away bay is really what we need...it'll fire us up, and give us that extra motivation to chant and sing louder...

TBH, I don't really care if FOX see us or not. Last time I checked, cameras were moveable...but anyway...just means one less camera to see the green n gold army and their shenanigans ;)

let me set the scene..

1-1 in a game against the scum.
we get a penalty (last minute) right infront of bay 1.

we score, we win etc etc.

would be 1000000000000000x better if we could celebate right infront of the assholes imho.

If thats the only reason you want bay 1, lol, just lol

Also, bay 1 is half a bay, its tiny, why would u want to move there?

*rolls eyes*

This is fkn ridiculous. If no one is gonna listen to the reasons why the supporters want the bay...why do we bother?

We've voted for Bay 1-2...which would give us a bay and a half*

Plus, wouldn't security love it? Fans on opposite sides...2 differant exits...a seccies dream.

*please note, by "we've" I'm referring to those who have chosen Bay 1-2 on the poll, in the mindset that we'd be getting bay 1 AND 2....apologies for any misconceptions...etc

bay 38 ;)

If they are serious about what looks good on tv they would put the cameras on the eastern side as the fans tend to be based on the western side when our crowds are low, but that's not the point.

My problem with the concept of bay 23/24/22 area is that the away fans will have to walk behind the bays as they come into and as they leave the stadium and could lead to problems with overzealous minorities of the various groups. I just don't see how from a security point of view this will be managed well if at all.

I would say Bay 23.

Why?

We are trying to grow the marinators and by putting us in a half bay tuck away in the corner away from where now one can see you. why would we want to expand there.

I cant see stadium management moving the Alcohol Free Bay. Bay 2 is the alcohol free bay for just about every event.

Also i think the mariners need to bring in concession ticket prices into the bay. There are a number of students who are active in the bay and the mariners need to know that if they want to the marinators to be a good image of the club they need to open up that avenue. A number of clubs (newcastle & sydney) have brought concession prices into their support bays this year.

Anyways who cares about the sun! we travel to newcastle and stand all afternoon looking into the sun and we still sing and chant for the mariners, so why would it been any different at home. The majority of the mariners games is in the evening so this problem would only occur every now and then.

So i Bay 23 is the go to grow and set a good image with other mariners fans & members.

I will still support the move whatever way the Marinators Club decides to go.

Move the away fans to a different bay?????maybe???
Why should we have to accomidate for them we should choose where to be and then the club should put away fans in a suitable area

The same kind of 'growth' we have been trying to achieve for just on four years now....?

Unfortunately my idea and their idea of suitable areas are different, mine would be a pontoon on brisbane waters ;)

The point still stands, if they are in bay 1 even they will do the march to the ground and walk in the exit closest to the club and be heading right past where we are looking to sit. the ground doesn't have enough separate gates to segregate opposition fans.
