ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Turbulence (then calm sailing, then turbulence) thread.

Dubious source aside....seeing as we have to play the regional game away anyway, a game against MVC where we get the gate would be a decent money spinner.

Middy, son, as NY correctly says, that's not within coo-ee of 442 saying it.

That's like me commenting on a SMH article saying that Tony Abbott is going to be fed to wild dogs and you then saying 'the SMH is reporting that Tony Abbott is going to be fed to wild dogs'...
I wish...:)

This sounds like an excellent idea:

The Central Coast Mariners are excited to announce ‘Welcome Wednesdays’ that will serve as an opportunity for our fans and members to meet Mariners’ Senior Management in an informal setting. The first instalment will kick-off next Wednesday July 1 at Central Coast Leagues Club.

Next Wednesday Peter Storrie (Executive Vice Chairman) & Shaun Mielekamp (CEO) along with other CCM Staff members will be on hand at the Kendall Bar to chat all things Yellow & Navy.

Over the next few months the Mariners’ ‘Welcome Wednesdays’ will visit several venues across Central Coast that will provide a comfortable setting for our fans and members to discuss the upcoming season with Mariners’ Administration Staff over a beverage.

Details for further ‘Welcome Wednesdays’ are to be advised.

For more info, please call CCM HQ on (02) 4353 7200 or e-mail info@ccmariners.com.au

Where: Kendall Bar, Central Coast Leagues Club
When: Wednesday July 1, 6:30pm start (with more Welcome Wednesdays to follow)
How much: FREE

Just saying

Tis never right to speak to poorly of those who tried gave their best, and their best was not good enough. Then there is the Rupert Murdock line of well they applied for the job, said they could do it and they didn’t so I had to ????

After last night meeting the CEO and Peter S and some other officials, I feel the club is in safer hands that what it was 12 months ago and further our owner is smarter as well.

We seemed to get a double whammy a poor choice of CEO who wanted to throw everything out that had worked and replace it with the Brisbane way and a new coach who got his recruitment horribly wrong and was HHHHHmmmm not up to it.

Together they led us down a path and me thinks the CEO’s advice, or arguably lack of researched advice, to Charlesworth resulted in a rush to NSO and Brookie.

Today we are pushing very hard to get back into the community and CEO & Directors listening and acting on fans, players and parent’s information.

I come away last night with a feeling I have not had for maybe 3 years, our management is on the ball and moving us in the right direction.

I'm not sold on the idea of the Navy (and I don't think they'd want to get involved in one team - they'd more likely sponsor a sport so as to avoid any partisanship issues).

Shipping companies don't really work for us because despite the name, we don't have a port.

Cruise ship companies is actually a pretty good idea though. We've got loads of the target market - middle income families and older people.

I'd like to know whose f**king genius idea it was to have the club attend a partisan political fundraiser today.

This is actually pretty good exposure but we should be leveraging pollies to promote us, not the other way around.
