ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

The kids were a victorian hockey team

They were over for some national junior championships or something. The Victorians did a good job of teaching them the chant "We only hate you 'cos you're from...Adelaide", which they sung up until half-time before they seemed to lose interest.

Just arrived back from an awesome weekend in Adelaide. Hindmarsh is a great football stadium, the spectators can get nice and close to the action.

The Melbourne lads came and asked before the match if they could stand with us and support the Mariners. I asked them why and their answer was that they hated Adelaide with every fibre of their being. Their hatred of all things Adelaide was far in excess of the Victory's "legendary" hatred of Sydney. It kind of makes a mockery of Guns of Melbourne's assertion of Melbourne v Sydney being the biggest rivalry in the League. Sure Guns and his mates may hate Sydney, but these lads, from a couple of non-related Victorian towns, despised Adelaide... and a lot of it stems from ALF and cricket. At least with our rivalry with the Scum, we ALL agree that the Scum are our most hated team.

At one stage it looked as though there might be some physical violence between these guys and an Adelaide supporter... but that just ended in some "manly" posturing and handbags at 10 paces. Some of the Victorian boys took a shine to the Marinator ladies... but what happens on tour stays on tour ;)

With the Victorian lads in our corner, like marinermick said earlier, Eugene copped ALOT of shit. I like to think that we got into his head and really f**ked him up. That may not have been the case in reality, but by Christ, it was fun giving him shit for the entire 2nd half. I said it earlier... Hindmarsh is a great football stadium, the spectators can get nice and close to the action  :eek:verhead:

Quote of the night... when the Victorian U14 boys hockey team arrived, Eggy was heard to have said "Hey look... the squadron are here"... Nice one Eggy!  :piralaugh:

Think that might have been the comment that sent me flying backwards on my Kla*er
with laughter. (or was it just the UDL).

By far and away the best move of the night was Eggy bolting across North Terrace to flag down the maxi taxi to take us to Hindmarsh. Not an easy feat in peak hour traffic, mind you.
He absolutely NAILED it.  :pirashoot: :pirashoot: :pirashoot:

By far and way the biggest "faux pau" of the night was me visiting the men's dunnies at Hindmarsh - Oopsey daisy!  :-[
