ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I could be wrong altogether sodon't take this as sure fact... But I've heard that if Danny goes to WC it may set of an extension clause and he's keen to stay on and finish his career here with us. Could be a double win if there's any truth to it.
Could be other parameters to the clause as well, or may not be the case at all too

That just doesn't make sense. Why would Arnold beg him to come out of retirement and then dick tease him like that. I get the connection thing but he's the most inform keeper we have and if Ryan goes down for any reason he's well infront of any other.
I don't get that.
Yeah it doesn’t make sense but neither does bringing him out of retirement and not even giving him half a game in the NZ matches. If true maybe he blew up about the same old crap?

Weird news source though

Even if he has declined I would still put that on team management. Both long term and the snub in the last camp.

He should be starting, how he misses out must come down to not wanting to go. Surely Arnie can’t not pick him for playing/skill reasons
While Arnie has to wear the slings and arrows as the manager I wonder what is behind it.

I always thought of Mitch as a great 'shot-stopper' but less so as a 'sweeper-keeper' - which we will need given the amount of defence we will be doing and the injuries in central defence. Surely he has progressed in that area over the years - though I must admit I haven't watched him. J-League keeper of the year suggests he can't be doing too much wrong.

Did the sports scientists chat to him? Does the 6-0 against France still haunt him?

My attempt given rumours and GA preferences of who will be going. (Not who I think should be there)

Ryan, Vukovic, Redmayne

Behich, King, Wright, Deng, Sainsbury, Souttar, Rowles, Atkinson, Karacic

Devlin, Mooy, McGree, Irvine, Rogic, Hrustic

Mabil, Boyle, Goodwin, Cummings, Maclaren, Duke, Kuol, Leckie

If true Langerak's non selection is puzzling but not that crucial. It will reinforce those Arnie haters especially from Victory fans who feel he has a bias against their club( and they may be right).

Ryan Strain ,Delbridge and Agostino might be surprise choices.

I think based on the rumours flying around, you will be pretty close with that squad.

Hrustic was optimistic of being fit but wasn't on the teamsheet for Verona at the weekend, so there must be still a question mark there. So long as he is going to be ready in the next week then I expect him to be there.

I would put a big question mark over Souttar though. He has had 2 runs with the U23s, the longest of which was about 70 mins. He was an unused sub at the weekend for the 1st team. I assume he will get some game time in Stoke's games tomorrow and Saturday, but I would think it unlikely he could last a full game at international intensity and be anywhere near peak performance after such a long lay-off.

(If Souttar does miss out, could open up a spot for Stens.)

Yeah - given That GA likes Stens versatility he could actually come in for Devlin and still add extra cover for CB. Souttar hasn't played many minutes for a year, Kye for 2 months and Trent for 6 or so weeks. Potentially 3 passengers so any cover there would help.
