Canberra seems to be a shoe in for the next round which they should really be looking at now. They have government commitment to a new facility they’ll share with other codes but will be a rectangular stadium, they’ve got some pretty keen people pushing it and not throwing their toys at the first setback like southern expansion and crucially now the A league clubs have a say Canberra doesn’t step on anyone’s toes. I’d be very surprised if they weren’t our 13th team, then14th slot is a bit less certain.

The jets copped a 6-2 loss against Perth tonight, would have been 7 if it wasn’t for a questionable VAR call. Good that their goal difference is getting destroyed but we don’t really want Perth confident coming in to NYE. Maybe they’ll be overconfident.
