Totally agree, Ernie is a good experienced coach and generally liked by the players so sacking him does not make a lot of sense unless they also want to save on his salary. Will be interesting to see who replaces him and how experienced they are. I feel he know it was coming with his interview after the Victory game and when he unloaded on how budget the team was.

That’s how Sydney have been setting up for a while now. It just looked a bit off without Grant providing width and not having Brattan or ONeil anchoring it.
You wouldn’t have picked it as 1v11 if you didn’t know anything about the season. Jets were ok but Sydney well below their best.
Generally the Salary has to be paid out, so nothing but extra costs there.

Challenge for silverware in a year ending in 8, then revert to being mediocre at best, rubbish at worst. Won't really have to worry about that lot again until 2028, and by then I imagine CCM have enjoyed a Liverpool-esque turnaround with a few more trophies in our cabinet and CC Stadium averaging 15k and those of us here now laughing about the 8-2 games and NYE 2018...
