ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

The Marinators Should Join the Green And Gold Army

it's not really about who is running the show, it's more to do with how things are run. Mick outlined most of the the main reasons already.

Anyway, G&G Army, no thanks.

Yes the Fanatics is a much better organisation.
Have been to most of the cup qualifiers in Australia and you dont need to join the G&G ARMY.
Have had a great time without joining G&G ARMY.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
you really know how to make someone feel good about them selves dont you.

only when people make outlandish statements in support of an organisation that is preventing a proper Australia from having a loud, passionate and proper home end

organisations like the GGA Army and the Fanatics are a blight on Australian football and only serve to line the pockets of both the organisation and a few elite who run the organisation.

I am all for having a loud, passionate and proper home end. But other than these organisations who will make this a reality?

Easy, the FFA organises a proper "supporters club" along the lines of other nations.

It then reserves areas (behind the goals) at the ground and only members can buy there in the knowledge that it is the singing standing part of the ground.

however, this is the FFA and wont engage supporters to help create atmosphere so therefore, the system we currently try to have is least worst.

1) Bay/area is identified

2) Supporters who want to stand/sing get tix in identified area -(already about 200 odd are locked in for the 2 Homebush games in bay 119 - good old facebook)

TBH, it really doesnt work v well and despite the incredible efforts of people, it wont get better until the FFA work with fans to set up a defined singing/standing/chanting area.

Frankly, IMHO the GGA and Fanatics (laughs out loud) are actually hindering this process

Really only 200 i thought it was alot more than that. thats bullshit.
it should be more like a couple of bays. cause i saw that tickets were about $100 for both games in the same standing position. i just thought there would be alot more than that.

You go to a lot of home games do you?

About as passionate as an NRL game because the GGA/Fanwankers are too busy pushing their own agenda's and its people power (that takes a lot of people a lot of time and grief) is where the noise comes from.

For example, would you be prepared to put over $1,500 of tix on your credit card to enable people to get tix in the right place (and then hope they pay you fast)? someone on here did and I know SFC fans who do the same.

So before you come on here slagging the efforts of people who actually care enough to try, lets see what you do.

Who am i slagging? i didnt mean to slag on anyone.
im guessing you guys know alot more about this topic and the things that go on behind the scenes.  i must be a little naive to what goes on.
all i want is for a home end where the fans chant and sing the whole game and for "aussie aussie aussie , oy oy oy" never to be used. hahaha.

yeah, you are right - we are all in this together to make that end as loud as possible

i guess some of us get a bit defensive because we have seen the GGA and the fanatics cause the opposite to "fanatic" support in the home end

as an example there was the kuwait game at the sydney football stadium where the fanatics negotiated bay 23 behind the goals - the position where the traditional singing and stading up area exist

they went on to sell these tickets to their membership, most of whom were families or people used to going to the tennis or rugby league

result = lots of people sitting down and not maing a single sound

i can guarantee that if you actually buy a ticket in the fanatics area you will be told by other people in that area to sit down and shut up

the last couple of games i went to in melbourne against qatar and in brisbane against qatar, and there were whole ends standing up and singing more so in melbourne. since the a league has started i think families are more aware not to buy tickets in this region but they are by far the least expensive tickets to buy so this could well happen. i would be pissed if it happens for these next two games in sydney.

let's hope so

it happens so much and all it takes is for the FFA to outline some measures as greenpole posted but unfortunately does not happen

Same whinge can be applied to semi's as well.

Its only coz Mariners fans are generally tolerant that (more) fights didnt break out with the "I paid and I'm sitting" crowd at the scumdome
