Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

For those taking Danny to task, pull your head in. He was beaten by three great strikes, end of story.

Only true to some point. They were all great strikes. However, a good keeper always knows where he is and is constantly making small corrections. He was too far off his line for Bridge's effort - though it had to be a peach to beat him. The second goal the shot was taken around the D but Danny is still just inside his near post - if he was properly positioned easily saved. The last goal was stunner and to be honest I have not seen a good angle to judge Danny on.

Most people might think that spectacular keeping means good keeping. Often it means poor positioning. I suspect JC would be particularly upset with the second goal,

Hmm - as a keeper I must disagree. Bridges goal was similar to Kwas in the Semi last year. He was in the right position but it either deflected or was so much spin put on it that it was not possible to save it. Keepers nowdays are not rooted to their line and as such a shot like last night was simply not stopable.

The second goal - diagree as well, its shot from the RHS if the D and as such Danny has to be more to his left rather than in the middle.

Third - simply no chance - firstly he would not have been sighted but it was a rocket and he had no chance...

But hey thats just from a keeper who may be sticking up for the fraternity...

This is priceless ... from the Sydney fan site

Kosmina post game crying was priceless.
Man up pussy, Melbourne were s.hit last week u got lucky. Tonight the better team were down 3 nil and came back because you can't coach. It's been a month now of s.hit Kossie, give it another month and you that top 2 finish will be out of reach. You're a f**king hack of a coach and tonight showed it.

Missed the game last night, got back late and no-one had thought to record it for me, and then the missus decided to watch The Wedding Planner (where's the vomiting emoticon gone?).  Got to see quick bits and pieces during the ads.  Sydney up 3 nil, and I managed to see Matty's 1st goal.  Next ad break still 3-1 and running out of time, I resign myself to it being all over.  Next break 3 all couldn't believe it.

Well done boys.  But how often can we play catch up from 3 nil down?

Oh ... and I agree Kosmina is a dickhead.  That stuff he did at the end of the game when Porter had the throw was crap and he should dealt with.

Here you go  :vomit:

Hey Jaypee, as you may tell from my avatar I am also of the fraternity but am still not convinced. I watched again this afternoon. The first was a great strike, I don't think there was a deflection - but if he was foot further back he would have covered it. The third was unstoppable.

The second goal is still the one that worries me. He lines up on the near post when Casey has the ball and does not correct his position as he cuts inside. We'll have to agree to disagree, especially on this one.

Yep - noticed the Avatar and assumed that. Yep the first and 3rd were very good strikes and the second was a good strike as well. Perhaps the only reason Danny didn't adjust as much as was needed was bodies in his way? meaning he had to be slightly the other way to see?

Well, we were pretty quiet at 3 - 0 down so understandable that the cove were mute as we came back.

Probably loudest I have heard us at an away game

1. The Marinators were amazing in the Last 30 mins - CORRECT
2. Outsung the Cove - Perhaps
3. Excellent efforts ladies & gents - CORRECT

As for outsinging the Cove, read what the Cove have to say about themselves http://sfcu.com.au/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=28&topic=11117.msg541000#msg541000
"Fun game to watch nonetheless. 3rd goal for us can only be described as orgasmic. Cove was it's usual bipolar self (rocking when we were winning, shit when we weren't)."
