ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

New Dundee stadium(shared after by the 2 Dundee clubs) and two others.Minimum capacity required is 30,000.

TBH I believe every team needs their own house they cant share it with another rival even if they do play in different divisions i.e. Tannadice should be forever tangerine IMO and Dens should be forever blue. I absolutely hate the fact that both the Milan Teams share (they are looking to move out) and no other team in the world should share. As a matter of fact if Parkhead was destroyed and hampden was unavaliable and we had the choice to share Ibrox with the huns or move to the Glasgow Pluim Park Equivalent I know which one. I would take its a thing of independence. One stadium for one team only that is the rule no more no less

I think it depends on the backgrounds of the clubs involved. It could never work with the old firm.....the stadiums are right in the middle of their own territory....it couldn't work. The two Dundee clubs though don't draw their crowds from any specific area and the two stadiums as you know are in the same street. As long as there was no major opposition from the fans I think it would make sense and work.I wouldn't have said that 20 years ago but Tannadice is not the place I remember anyway.Like most old grounds in the UK it lost something in terms of atmosphere when they made it all seated.

Also the latest on the possible Euro bid is a joint bid with Wales.

Aberdeen v Inverness CT, 15:00
Falkirk v Rangers, 12:30
Hearts v Motherwell, 15:00
Kilmarnock v Hibernian, 15:00

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sunday, 10 August 2008
Celtic v St Mirren, 12:30

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Monday, 11 August 2008
Hamilton v Dundee Utd, 19:45

You have an easy first week arab. too bad for you the second week is bad

Also I have only heard of one new player signing from Celtic and its an unknown Northern Irelander called Patrick McCourt who has 1 cap for NI and plays for Derry City in the FAI League of Ireland. As he is unknown to me I dont know how he will fair at Celtic. I just hope it doesnt mean Aiden McGeady is on his way out of Parkhead though I know he would crack it in the EPL

How does this deal with Setanta compare with our Foxtel deal?

A fraction of the EPL deal obviously but a good deal all the same.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/scot_prem/7481320.stm

Note that FTA (BBC) has a highlights package on TV and the net.

Also this is just the SPL not the national team.

well the game in scotland does need more money to get it back on par with the rest of Europe. So more money is generally a good thing

It's none too shabby really.  Setanta here gets 2 SPL games on the weekend live, sometimes 3. Plus any midweek games, as well as the Scottish FA Cup (and they tend to throw in the Scottish League Cup whenever they can).  We also get at least half an hour of both Celtic and Rangers TV daily.

I wonder how many of the new subscribers to Setanta that signed up for Euro will stay on, considering that they would have been made aware through the Setanta ads of the sheer amount of football that they actually show??

The European World Cup Qualifiers start in September...there will be a heap of them shown and the South American ones have already started......btw Brazil in fifth at the moment!

You would think anyone interested in the Euros wouldn't mind that lot.

Not forgetting German,Dutch,Portuguese,French,Outer Mongolian  ;D league games........drool !

there were some rumors that we would sign Klasnic or Pavlyuchenko but they have dried up :( . apart from that I think our squad is gonna remain pretty similar to last season. I dont reckon we will lose any big namers except for Bobo Balde maybe but his time was up I guess
