If Mrdja actually looked like he gave a shit, then I wouldn't feel so aggrieved. But, it's been said before, and Im going to say it again weve kept faith in that oxygen thief for 4 years, and he repays us by f**king around and not even looking like giving 2 shits. If I performed at my work the way he has, Id have been sacked long ago.

I was a big fan of Niks, and had always thought that hed come back. Christ I defended the bloke when people would bag him! But its clear he doesnt want to put the effort in, and if hes not going to bother, and f**k my team around, then he can get out.

I am not advocating putting shit on such and such a plyer for missing a penalty or a bad pass or whatever, I mean a player that is quite litteraly taking the piss and not putting in and under performing long term ie. The oxygen thief that goes by the name Mrdja!

Its harsh to say that he's taking the piss and not putting in. I think he is doing his head in trying to make every first touch count or his runs directly leading to a goal, but is overdoing it to the extent he is squandering the simplest of touches and butchering every shot. He needs to get to go back to basics, get back with the team play and contribute instead of focusing on trying to make up for his absence in the last 4 years in one touch and turn.

Thats irrelevant TBH.

Fans/members are the clubs customers, any good business gets as close to its customers as it can.

What the players want simply doesnt matter, they are paid employees of a customer facing business and interacting with fans is part of the job.

Hearing first hand from ones clients about your performance is a great way to get a reality check.

The opinion lies within the 'abuse'. For instance, person A may refer to person B as an oxygen thief - whether it's true or not is irrelevant, that's person A's opinion, and until person B does something worth changing person A's opinion, then that opinion will remain.

If I was getting paid what he is apparently 'earning' (I don't know the figure, but one would think it would be a decent amount), I would expect more than just 'abuse' for extreme lack of performance/return on investment.

i dont think even half the people who comment on these forums would be in the marinators...
they are good forums and easy to use thats why people use them, i dont think this is a reflection on the marinators....
the whole point of a forum is that everyone can add there point of veiw on a subject..
people can say sack mrdja which i argree about people can say dont do it...
someone can hold up signs at mariners games, directly insulting a player.. and that they have a right to..
when your team needs a kick up the arse. say something.. dont sit back and complain...
mrdja does not deserve to be on the team..
he must being doing something great at training week in week out to get a spot...
tbh i would rarther play a 5-4-1 or a  4-1-4-1 then have 2 strikers if mrdja is one of them.

I think this poisonous lynch mob mentality needs to stop. Yes we can criticize players and evaluate their performance how bad it may be, discussing what works and what is not (and what should be done to change it), but insults and abuse of our own players by their "supporters" is not on really.

These are the reasons we dont have post match anymore, regardless of who cops the blame. Marinators or not, why would the put themselves in a situation where random drunk gurus of the game can get in their face and threaten them.

and the only people who really really give a shit about the post matches are the familys, and i personally know 5 family who dont go to game and dont give a shit anymore, just because they stopped them

need to get back in touch with the community asap imo

but anyway, back on topic, if nik scores and shows some actual ticka, good on him, but i didnt see anything on saturday that could possibly keep him his starting spot
