ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

How good was Boogard on Monday? Best performance i have seen from him, looks great at right back rather than in the middle.

Sorry but i can garner no excitment from our RB having more shots on goal than either of the strikers. Probably more than both of them put together, need to check.

Things i dont rate for Boogs, he tends to like the long ball way too much, and he takes forever on the ball which can cause the attack to break down on the right hand side leaving Travis without ball for periods of the game.

Other than that, he was our second best player for the 90 mins, go figure.

Good game. But he so far has never been great for distribution, but he's young and clearly growing as a player which is terrific for him and us.

Re shots...

Think Dmacs header was it for the strikers...

Whereas Boogs had a good shot and a poor header attempt.

Wilko has still outscored two of our three strikers 9 rounds in.
With 1 goal.
Doesn't get much clearer than that really...

Actually, if you add in Boogs goal against the scum, our C Backs have BOTH outscored our fabled (and expensive) strike force.

Wereas our strikers are clearly not delivering at the moment, Boogs is one guy who has been at the very least, involved. There are many on these forums who (maybe rightly) sing his praises. I dont know. The guy is slower than Question Time, and carries on like the grim reaper around the box. I piss my pants every time he is involved in a defensive challenge.

Balance this with the fact that he has been happy to get down the sideline where possible. I like that. Just dont like the thought of him having to track back after some speedster. Yow.

He's just a solid defender.  The league is too full of soft c*cks who won't go in hard. After he tackles attackers it makes them look over their shoulder next time.
