ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Hmmm, they were also advertising Corporate Boxes for both games.... 16 ppl plus 7 parking and 1 x VIP parking, buffet menu, no alcohol (I think) included for over $5500.
Don't think anyone took them up on it.
Asked various ppl throughout the night if they knew about the game, and they said nope, had not heard anything.

Pretty sure i read somewhere on 442 from one of the organisers of Canberras supporter groups that they did not want to attend this game due to assuming that the 12th team was already WS. They then decided to not promote the game whatsoever which they did do for the Aus game a while back. Silly move from them IMO. Will look for link to said post.

As the Mariners barely promote home games at home you wouldn't expect them to promote a home game in Canberra would you? Except, of course, the 'benefit' to members of a free ticket

Why is it up to the supporter groups to promote the game?

Its not but they realised it was in their best interests to help promote the Aussie game for the good of their bid. Its unfortunate that they did not put the same effort into this game as everyone would have been talking about the need to have a canberra side.

Gold coast got 6k, Fury got 7k, Welly 8k - Canberra getting 5k if it was 4 degrees at half time (so I'm told) isn't that bad.

Did they pour the beers properly?

LOL funny you should ask - the first 4 I got was perfect - angled the plastic cup and poured in properly, and yet still just as quick as dumping the bottle straight in, so it had the perfect amount of head, no spillage, 10/10. It went down hill from there though ;)

Maybe they were drinking the dregs in the bottles after they poured it & got a little drunk as the night wore on.

We paid for four beers, they then informed us they actually has no beer left, when they re-stocked they asked us how many we ordered, we walked away with 7.
