Jeez we were poor again. Missed the first half but it was obvious as soon as the second started that we were lacking composure all over. Didnt see enough of it to say, but it looked like corp. failure to me.

From what I saw, there's no point crying about our lack of opportunities because we failed to create any. The greatest strikers in any league would've withered on the vine with that service. Play out 101 for us this week.

Positives ... Danny & Back 4 are getting back to their best... Travis changed the game when he came on... Elrich is getting better ... No idea what the -10 is for .. he only had 20 min and worked well with Porter ...

Our shape at the front is causing concern ... not showing for the ball ... or with Heff & Pedj playing so deep ... not a lot of angles being created ... but we scored two arsey goals against the Tards & a very arsey goal of the shoulder against the Scum...

McGlinchey has skill but finds himself often with no options ... no sure the answer but our go forward needs some work...

Might help if both Travis & McGlinchey start IMO ...

Although most of the team put in a poor performance today with a few exceptions, Nik should not be in the team. He adds little, does even less and can't read the game play. When he does have the ball he squanders every opportunity with a glory shot. Its a team sport FFS so play like it.

I also think Travis and Wee Mac should start. just don't have Wee Mac manning the posts on corners...

Matty matty matty were where you imo Mrdja played better than Matty but a terrible game. Well done Danny hold your head up high.

Absolutely. Never thought I would see Mrdja do more in a game than Matty. Nik was just his usual total waste of space self, whereas Matty was god awful. Never, ever have I seen him play without heart before... sadly I have now... finally saw him control one ball in the last 15 minutes of the game... constantly caught on his heels and was literally so absent in the first half as to not even know he was on. Looks like playing 451 has caught up with him or he was unhappy at being wide. Whatever it is HE DIDN'T TURN UP.

All that said, at least we know he will almost certainly come good... Mrdja however looks like he will never do anything positive on the field ever again and for the good of the team should hang up his boots immediately popovitch style so we can sign someone else before we slip towards the spoon. Think we have till midnight monday lets get onto it CCM.

So much lack lustre dross all over the park. Heff had an ok game, but could have murdered him when he didn't feed that ball back to Travis in the latter stages at the top of the box.
Wilko's defense was ok, though he's going quiet again, but his distribution and speed of thought were poor.

Porter, offered very little, didn't stand out as bad, but need him to get forward to help provide another wave of attack or we are too easy to shut down.

I thought Kwassie actually tried to put in today but was so slow to make decisions, honestly if there were points for kicking the ball into the opposition today Kwassie would be lord! Lack of movement upfront contributes to this but it is also a Kwassie habit for mine.

Pedj tried but was off his best... but at least he turned up. Boogs mercifully was solid. Hutch made some good tackles and was one of the few players to keep possession, but of course didn't add anything going forward, as we all hopefully understand by now thats not really his job, but when your one down if he can't step up the I'd much rather see a DM go off than an AM being McGlinchey Lawrie. Maybe weemac could have actually done something with Travis nearby. As it was he struggled to get into the game, but how could he not - for as Travis fumed when he came on... wtf do you do with the ball when there is no movement or endeavour upfront? Our frontline should really hang their heads and it needs a serious shake up.

On Elrich... Meh, Elrich is an easy target but actually didn't do a lot wrong in his 20m odd on the park, just didn't add anything either, just like the bulk of the squad over an entire 90.

Make no mistake the blame for todays performance should be squarely shouldered by the starting squad and also Not Lawrie in all fairness. The biggest concern for mine was in keeping two DM's when your chasing a game, but then when the only thing your team is doing remotely ok is defending against a team that is dominating you, I can at least understand why you don't want to pull a screener off. But... risks need to be taken to win football games sometimes. Apart from that I don't think Lawrie could have done shit all with that team today...

The only shocking thing about his lineup was Mrdja, and if Dmac travelled Mrdja wouldn't have started.

Three positives... (just)

1) Danny was immense.

2) In no small regard being because of Danny, our defense is still pretty solid all in all and Doig should be back next week to wake everyone the f**k up again. One conceded goal from a set pieces with henrique pwning Heff all game is a pretty good result in a game we deserved to be absolutely hammered in.

3) Travis, who has struggled to get off the bench, did more with the ball in 30 minutes than our entire attacking third and looks to be all class.

The biggest negative, aside from a dreadful lack of heart from our players... is clearly our attacking line up. ZERO shots on goal, what an absolute embarrassment.

Travis and Mc Glinchey are must starts next game imo and Caceres certainly deserves another shot if thats the best we can muster going forward.

Don't know why Dylan isn't travelling, so assuming that he's the player it's looking like may be going. No excuse for putting Mrdja in the squad otherwise. I'd rather the youth league reserve keeper up front rather than Mrdja atm.

Big rant. Feel bit better now. Most who know my posts will know that I tend to try to stay positive, but people were whinging about last week, this weeks performance made us look like Arsenal last week in comparison.

Just wondering if it is because he is the one being transferred out? If this is the case, he may have mentally already left. If this is not the case, then it was a real crap performance.

Deej stated that the player who "might" be going would have no major impact in his opinion, so hard to believe that its Matty... (This game withstanding)

was basically pathetic

thought boogs was immense and Danny had a screamer in goal

wee mac barely got the ball which was very disappointing, Nicky Travis was superb and changed the match imo. Just wonder if we add travis to starting line up with wee Mac that our midfield will become absolutely tiny

It's our only true ball player Caceras, GONE to Wellington.  Obviously the flair is not what the MARINERS want !
Also while I'm here, be prepared people for a bottom 2 finish, yes I am being negative because that F@#$in dribble was once again clueless, no idea how to change a game up, or change your system when you are behind ! What happened to maybe going with a back 3 to try and put pressure further up the park, might as well lose 3-0 but at least have a F@#$in go !  Bottom line NO QUALITY, pay peanuts and get F@#$in monkeys !

Best summation so far from the gaffer

"If we dont go out and compete against anybody its going to be a hard game, so we need to get competitive. Things are going to happen in games where things go against you, but you dont just drop your bundle and stop playing, you have to believe in each other, and we usually do, but today we didnt," said McKinna
