So which RM from the NYL team would you replace Porter with then?

Brown? He is f**king gash and will be off at the end of his contract. A lazy Elrich without the skill.

Bernie is 2 seasons off HAL, he is only 17.

ps - Danning is a winger

Hutch Panni Crowell Travis.

Actually Hutch was signed as our right wing originally but it was my mistake I ment him on left and travis on the right.
Obviously Crowell and Panni would play in the centre.
An out of form Travis is still better than most of our starting 11.
As a coach if you encorage a player, rather than make them a scapegoat for everyone elses failings...you'll find a good performance is just around the corner.

Travis is also not a RM (as anyone who has seen him play there knows).

Are you Arnoldout in disguise?

f**k some of you lemmings are stupid.
LM was playing him at RM before he showed his lack of managerial skill but publicly singing him out for blame after yet another loss.

No your right Fulham, Porter is world class and we should build a team around a bloke that shuffles aimlessly around the pitch and hasn't scored in 50 games.

So you would play an AM at RM would you..............

Didn't hear you complain when Lawrie did it and I seam to remember that Travis was brought as Right Mid (that can play FB and also centre mid).
So he was listed as RM not a Centre Mid.

Porter is not fit to carry his bags.

However feel free to keep towing the company line blindly.

He and Wee Mac essentially do the same job in the side. Namely, creative ball playing attacking mids.

We cant have them both in the middle or no one would ever win the ball and we tried him on the right as a way of fitting them both in the team. It made us unabalanced, form drops, players lose confidence and end up out of the side.

Wee Mac carried an injury and didnt tell anyone (allegedly).

Porter is at RM because he is a natural in that position and gives us better balance.

IMHO, the only way to get them both in the side is to play 4321. But dont hold your breath.

FWIW, Travis is possibly one of the most gifted players in the HAL (when fit and his head is right) but not out of position

Gold Coast United and Central Coast charged with team misconduct by the FFA
From correspondents in Sydney
January 25, 2010
Gold Coast United and Central Coast Mariners have been charged with team misconduct by Football Federation Australia for their melee during their clash at Bluetongue Stadium.

A from-behind challenge by Mariners midfielder John Hutchinson on Zenon Caravella sparked the ugly confrontations between the players in the 69th minute of their match.

Gold Coast boss Miron Bleiberg accused the Mariners of resorting to roughhouse tactics following the 1-1 draw in Gosford and branded them 'psychos'.

Perth and Wellington were also charged with team misconduct for a melee during their encounter won 2-0 by the Glory in Perth.

Adelaide United were cautioned for having players receive seven cautions during their latest loss to the Melbourne Victory.

This was exactly why I was previously advocating 4231... seemed to make sense when we haven't had two strikers in form all season...

FFC... towing the party line?
:piralaugh:

Pretty sure, "useless c**t" among others phrases I've heard him use, have never been the party line?

Interesting - does anyone know what Hutch got the yellow card for?
If it was for the tackle then GCU have no right to start the melee because the ref has dealt with the situation.
If it was for the melee then the ref deems the tackle OK and GCU have no right to start a melee?

looking briefly at the clip it seems as if Porter (Joel), Van Den Brink and Smeltz have a serious case to answer; don't know how Thwaite is affected as he got a yellow.

Would have liked Bleiberg and Cullina to be called to account too for their comments as Aurelio Vidmar and Branko have been.

Thwaite attacked the head of a player - something that FIFA has said is violent conduct - a send off offence.

The referee made an error and it can be dealt with.

an out of form travis isnt even better then the youth players, hence his substitution at half time in the youth game on saturday

The Company line is that as is well.  We have been unlucky only getting 3pts from our last 8 games.
Clarke, Porter, Kwas, Bojic are all excellent players
