IMO somethings gone wrong we are not playing anywhere near as well as the start of the year ..DDS is a shadow of his first round form...

We looked worse than most of the NPL sides I have watched so far this season, the Bentleigh Greens would wipe the floor with us as would Ben Cahn's Olympic FC. That was abysmal, apart from Hoole's goal we were terrible and we play like that with our season on the line. The J-League, K-League and CSL sides in the Champions League would beat us by 10. Melling rivalling Oxborrow for worst defensive midfielder this season. The season is over, fire Okon and bring in a new coach as soon as possible so they can get a feel for the team.

Not really - though Moss was a very good keeper at one stage.

Kennedy has better clean sheet stats and goals conceded stats than Birighitti, Bouzanis and Reddy despite being with the basket case that was Newcastle for so many years. Birighitti,is all hype and a good agent, Bouzanis was quoted as the best young keeper in the world by Rafa when he was nowhere near the best in Australia and Reddy ... well he is Reddy.

We had for many years two very good keepers in Danny then Maty, but Ivan, Izzo, Pasfield, Reddy, Trott and Nash have been in there as well. We were spoilt with Danny and Maty - anyone else seems second rate - which when you compare them with those two they are.

. we were discussing this at CCLC unclear on what the protocols are

. my suggestion is that since the ref didn't see it and it was only drawn to his attention by the VAR it was easier to focus on the goal/non-goal ... if no card was given, does it then make it a job for the MRP to do the frame-by frame analysis and make the decision (knowing they cannot reverse a decision made on the night ... or whatever they think their jurisdiction is this week)

. imagine how bad things would have got for us if they sent him off and we had to finish the game against 10!

With less speed on the park now kubis gone, players now so well drilled that their only instinct serms to be pass to another Mariner at all costs and no real aerial threat... we do not look dangerous at all. Full credit to Hoole - beautifully taken chance and nice quick ball by Pain.

Agree. I think we lost confidence and stopped truly believing we could be better than other sides and all the creativity and one touch stuff that first excited disappeared.

Also we were simply found out by other sides but made no change.

Last night I don’t think there is a single Mariner you can say won their individual battle. Against a very lack lustre Perth with any chance of making the finals on the line, that’s a very poor Indictment.
