Round 10 vs Fowler FC

Watching a replay of the game it is ridiculous to say Simon tired; he didn't stop running all game - how about his run in the pen area from the left to feed Boogard? - and was involved in almost evrything we did going forward. Our problem was the defence sat back and our midfield simply evaporated. Crowley could have come on for any one of them, they all faded. And which one of our intellectually challenged defenders decided to put Clark on McBreen for the corner? We were a taller team tham them but let Clark concede inches to McBreen. Thick as.

Happened in the first half as well when porter was marking mcbreen and mcbreen headed over the bar.

Should have been a wake-up call then.

Clark was marking on the wrong side of the player. Basics.

from my view, he wasnt really being MARKED at all, they were just hanging round like a bad smell, if they were marking him it wouldnt have gone in

Some people must have attended a different game to me on the weekend. I saw nothing positive out of the game. Granted that Simon scored within the first 14 seconds of the game beyond that I saw nothing to get excited about. In fact quite the opposite. The way that the team is playing at the moment I doubt that we will make the playoffs. Even if we do I see no chance of us lifting any trophies.

The service between the defence, midfield and forwards was sloppy to say the least. It seemed that the game plan was for Boogard to fling it upfield to Simon in the hope that he could out play his man. I don't know how many times I saw a quick turnover because the only option was to play the long ball. When Porter had the ball he seemed bereft of ideas on what to do with it. There was no running in to space and no quick distribution and little attempt to control and retain the ball. From my perspective most of the payers seemed so disinterested out there. Example, DMac strolling towards the ball on the right in the final few minutes when there was a good chance to win possession and nip it back in field.

It's no use playing a long ball to a target man if others are not going to run off him and I am continually frustrated every time I see this happen. It is called football for a reason, because it is played with the feet, and not the head. Bombing it up field does not retain possession.

You only have to look at the stats from the game and the season in general. Fury had the weight of possession for the match and our shots on goal and shots on target for the season make for pretty sobering reading. Our for and against looks great on paper but we have the lowest for in the league. Next up we have five away games. How will we come out the other side of this? Feel free to shoot me down but the facts are there for all to see.
well said you have 1 supporter in your corner

i watched the replay...and I am majorly pissed off at Kwasnik. What a stupid thing to do...strikers are all about positioning (and converting that as well...). He wasted a great chance!
All you Matty lovers and people picking on Kwassie for being off side i remember 2 goals this season that Matty was off side and both them goals cost us the match but nothing was said about them. Can anyone answer me 1 question how many times this year has Matty been offside, i would lay money on him being very close to archie

At least three of Matty's offsides were incorrect decisions (and probably ten of Archies...)
`

Most of Archie's goals are offsides that aren't called - he really can't complain.

That's ridiculous. I can't remember the last time a line ball decision has gone in favour of the attacking team only to be proven wrong.

Kids just learning the game mark up like that....but kids probably know that you have to jump to head a ball travelling a few inches above you.
I like Clarke but he's a muppet and should not have been resigned for this season. He should concentrate on getting fat arses like D-Mac and Elrich fit.

Surely the sponsors of the club can see we have the nucleus of a serious team and they would be asking the questions about a striker because they get more coverage and value for their investments when a team is on fire.
Question. does anyone know who the longest donating sponsor is??

But you dont see him off the ball. There was a massive change off the ball from simon in the 2nd half. He was often catching his breath, or slowly moving back out of position, in ways he was not in the first half

I would have liked lawrie to hit up 3 strikers last week. With our midfield not pushing forward. In the first half especially simon or kwas would drop for a header, it would go straight to the other, and there would be 3 defenders on him, and no midfield pushing up to offer support.

Granted i would have prefered the midfield to push up and support, but maybe leaving kwassie up front when dmac came on could have helped this. Though 1st half kwas and simon were more effective

Elevated, lest hope so! (Don't know about sponsor)

Jesus, was watching Simon off the ball too.
gave his all, but was clearly stuffed in the last 30.

Re stunned draw, we should and would have put them away in the firts half with a proper strike force or probably if we had Weemac and Hutch.
That said. I rate fury, and I don't usually rate the current wooden spooners ;D
Looked better than Perth has over the last 5 weeks to me... but thats football... go figure.
