I dont normally post on game evenings but I'm livered. Why;

1. 25mins of the worst we have ever been in tbe first half
2. Lack of spplication and desire
3.we had the template on how to play them last time but we went something different this time
4. I don't care if it was pele if you cant run you should not be in the field. Nerve problem - yeah right - we arn't stupid
5. Ill wear Neill's 2 yellows if they are consistant, can someone explain to me why Fab is man handled off the ball and two passes later they score, exactly the same thing neill did!
6. Mark Bosnich lacks credability don't be worried by his uneducated comments
7. We lacked a strategy

Done I feel slightly better now

Posco was immense when he came on. Roy ran his arse off. Garcia *again* gave the ball away *a lot*.

I was surprised to see Liam Rose go for Posco though, I'd have thought Garcia would be the one to go at that point. With 10 men, you can't afford the luxury of a guy who doesn't work in defence.

Speaking of which, Ferreira did less work than I've seen in a long time. Maybe the armband was weighing him down?

McDonald did OK when he was on, but had a torrid time with Ingham; had to scramble to make second efforts a lot. On their second goal he was gassed and simply dropped off.

The reason we didn't get a shot on target? We trust each other so little that there's going to be a decent ball, that nobody makes decent runs. Consequently if a decent run *is* made, we are so struck with the surprise of it all that we forget to reward it with a useable pass. Self-perpetuating cycle.

Roy at least showed he'll run for lost causes, as will Bingham. The two of them together might be what we need to get out of the funk.

On Izzo and his kicking, he got cheered for landing one in the middle of the park, but without wanting to die in a ditch to defend him he was kicking into a stinker of a headwind. He nailed a few low and they went to targets, but anything with a bit of air either went backwards or screwed sideways.

And I don't know if anyone else has actually played the bloody game, but I'd give away a throw in on halfway any day of the week before dropping it in parts unknown in the middle of the park, so the one he got the biggest cheer for (where he picked out Broxham of all f**king people) was probably the worst of his goalkicks...

And @Coach - I've had a drive home to Stanmore to settle the temper a little, still pretty pissed off...

Finky boy for sure leaving MV.

After Kev pulled him he was livid. Was walking away from Kev eyes down then reluctantly changed course and game him a half arsed hand shake then went to very end of bench and was filthy. Threw his tape of towards the field.
4th official came over and told the MV assistant to tell Finkler to put his bib on. Assistant told him and he ignored him. 4th official came back and repeat. Finkler threw it on his head cranky as.
One not happy camper

So is that 1 shot on target in 2 games or no shots on target in 2 games?

We are a very very poor side. You just have to be a little bit patient and you know we will crack.

Paddy looked more likely than Bingham but that miss probably cost us the game.

8 red cards in a season just show how much of a mess we are.

Izzo has to be replaced by Bray immediately.
McDonald is not HAL standard. Their winger carved him a new one and he was made to look clueless on their 2nd goal.
Watching the game live I thought Rose was ok until i saw the goals on tv.

I cant praise a single one of our players but Ascroft, Uskok, Posco (he actually looks our best defender now but still gets sucked in and needs to keep his hands down) and Luis all had some good moments.

Some very poor passes today. McGing was a major contributor. Under hit balls.

Rose bud showing signs of suffering the hutches, back before forward. Does protect the ball well but struggles to put head up and attack.

Izzo puts those goal kicks over the sideline every week wind or not in the same spot. He's like a golfer with a natural hook in there swing.

People pass backwards if there's not a good option forward. I'd rather Rose pass backwards and keep the ball than pass forward for forward's sake and give the ball away.

1 shot on target in 2 games

Would you prefer we prioritise scoring and simply concede more?

I think we're genuinely focussed on results now, it's just that we're not up to it. We're a lot closer in standard to other teams now (in terms of capacity to get a result without getting absolutely pantsed), but there's too much in the squad that needs to be built up again.

Up at Foster/Tuncurry for the weekend, just watched the game and in one word, abysmal.

Seriously, Izzo can FO right now ! That shit tonight has been going on for weeks and a line in the sand needs to be drawn.

Bray for the rest of the season;
- so we can really know if he can handle the A-League
- so were fully prepared for next season.
- or do what we should've done to begin with and signed this guy, because he was the same god-damn price to sign ........minimum wage!

One 'good' game from Bray so far ISN'T enough to make a decision on him, so let's give him the remaining 5 straight games to prove he's worth another gig. It's the least we should be giving Bray considering we know that were stuck with Izzo and we also know what his capabillities are.

It's also the least we should do for ourselves as a frick'n club, if were serious about changing this rubbish that’s on display week after week.

Then there's the 'needle' being given to an injured player THAT HAD ZERO EFFECT but was still played anyway. A player who's probably top of the tree when it comes to 'hopes 4 a sell-on' down the track.

Marvellous fcuk'n Management there I'd say.

Playing a team low on confidence from poor form in the last few weeks, a team riddled with Jet-Lag and bloated on fried rice on a 30° day AND WE DONT PUSH THEM !?!?!

FFS Walmsley !!!

Kevin must of been delighted to have 'shouted you dinner tonight' as an appreciation for the opportunity you provided in allowing Victory a light-recovery session.

Extremely disappointing.

Reasons: too many players playing out of position (not blaming, we had many unavailable).

: too many players without the basic skills required at this level. Ball control (too many heavy first touches, too many misdirected passes, too little anticipation. I worry that some of these basics should be already there and will never come no matter how many years we wait.

On today's performance, I would keep Roy, Posco and Liam Rose (why was he subbed). Harry and McG were out of position so too hard to judge. The rest a big meh. Is Austin too fragile?

Oh as well I recorded the post game show. Watched when I got home. All they could talk about was why wasn't there relegation. Ffs we are struggling, but I never heard this talk in other seasons for Perth or Jets when they were basket cases.

I am starting to get paranoid that the FFA want to get rid of us.

Plan A: Let them go broke, we can take them over and move to the Shire.
Plan B: Ahh foiled on plan A. Let's just pile shit on them until they collapse and we can then move them to the Shire.

This season is long gone. But there better be lots happening in the off season for me to remain optimistic.

Truly if I lose optimism for the future we are really f**ked. :(

I'll be interested to see what people think of Roy's game after watching the replay - I thought he was real class. Great runs, decent vision and passing,, was agile and clever and imo with some decent service he could have bagged a few. Best on field for me.

All for a Roy/Bingham partnership.

Shame we're such a terrible TEAM at the moment (no cohesion or understanding). We have such great individual players, some of the best in our history

Can't understand the Ascroft love. He also got points for MOM on the radio. What for? I made a point of watching him closely in the 2nd half. I just found him to be often very poorly positioned, bereft of any desire to make himself available for a pass, and generally very subdued. There were many times that a team mate was on the ball and under pressure and he just stood flat footed three metres away and appeared totally disinterested. Rarely did he get above a very light jog. Not what you need when chasing the game. Was he injured? Puffed out? Protecting his quiff? I might add that he wasn't alone in this.

I thought Fabio tried hard, but rarely had any support. Ditto Roy. Posco shone in his cameo. He is so dependable. Uskok is looking handy. Very little to show from anyone else. Watching the fresh McDonald getting carved repeatedly was painful to watch.

I watched Andre Gumprecht turn out for Kahibah against Cooks Hill in the Newcastle 1st Division on Saturday and its left me with whistful memories of how good we used to be. Frankly Kahibah would easily beat us at the moment. 'Fortress Bluetongue' is a distant memory.

The desire to stay home and not waste a tank of petrol to see the crap we're delivering at home is becoming stronger and stronger.

Rant over.

Wtf though! ? Can anyone put on black and walk on as a referee? All four of them were ridiculous tonight. Linesman on the Western side only made two calls without getting direction from the ref first, guy on eastern side spent more time looking at the ground when running than he did observing the f**king game... just ridiculous
I agree Where on earth does the Ahole league get these turds of refs these sorry mfs wouldn't last five minutes in any other international games, only in Australia. I am being given cause to follow another code never part with another cent where the Ahole League is the recipient and say goodeffing bye you corrupt mongrel bastards. This league is banked by with turds for referees and their lines should be cleaned with ample applications of Draino.

Ah yeah - on a positive note, I do feel like we're seeing the potential emergence of a defence for next season.
More so than last week, I would really like to see Uskok and Posco at CB - I suspect that could be a formidable pairing. Most puzzling choice for me today was Rose Sr over Posco.
I also liked Ascroft at FB last week - I belong to the group who thinks he looks promising.
I think McGing is excused for the passes because there was a distinct lack of movement off the call today. I also think Micky Neill has come a very long way with his defensive play.... wouldn't mind seeing a Def lineup like this:

Bray
Ascr - Posco - Uskok - Neill

I think that could run some potential...

Agreed consistency is seriously lacking. Having looked at the replay now both of Neill's were fouls. Galloway was warned about 7 times before he got his card. Mickey two fouls and off. Also the shot on Roy by Delpierre. The commentators called it as a heavy shoulder on shoulder. Then they watched the replay of his cocked elbow taking Roy's jaw and said well maybe it was shoulder to jaw. Clear foul - last defender - denying a clear goal-scoring opportunity - clear red..

I'm sure Wombat will be chuffed now that your game 'analysis-paralysis' has recovered in just a week, whatever the Dr prescribed - just keep taking the pills. :p
