I wish it was good. I turn it on most weeks in hope, but it is really embarrassingly cheesy. Not enough focus on football either.

Much better effort.
I watched the game from corp box and you get a much better perspective of the game than in bay 17.
Ropey first 10 mins but after that we were good.
Still a lot to work on and we r still frustrating but I hope we have turned a corner.

Flores was a beacon of class in the first 15 mins and then weemac started to show the same class and started to allow us to dominate.

The goal was quality with great work from weemac, rose and a classy finish from Macca.

Yellow army were small in stature but huge in heart and commitment.

Sydney were very poor thankfully and Pedj looked like a mug.

Pleasing performance, massive improvement, still a way to go but putting it together.

A couple of points after watching live and before watching replay tomorrow.

Was the move by Mossy playing Griffiths and leaving out Seip last week a great move in man management. Someones Dutch pride was obviously affected and he came out tonight with a point to prove. Best I've seen him play if he keeps it up a great signing.

McBreen as a lone striker is so far ahead of the others it is not funny, brilliant the way he got between their defensive lines, showed a glimpse last week. Back to last seasons best. The goal was pure class, as good as any from Tommy.

One day someone will notice Stormy's runs and time him a pass. Will turn out to be one of our great signings.

I feel much better after watching that. the first half was the best of the season so far and a sign playing like that can be done and that they are on track to do it.
could/should really have won that by so much more. many of the players had very good nights

Mind you I was pretty well sauced by the time the game started (friend's birthday at Marrickville Bowlo) but I thought we played bloody brilliant. Could've produced a few more chances and still gave up possession easily in midfield a few, but I'm okay with it.

Much better. Should have killed the game off by half time.

Sydney were very poor. Pedj is half the player he was for us and delightfully had a shocker. The fact that his wife fired up at the reception he got shows that, as a crowd, we can get to players. Tick.

Someone is going to cop it from us. Soon

So relieved to see that we can still play. A much improved performance.

We should have killed the game off with another goal or two, but stoked with the result.

It won't be long until cranky franky is under pressure again as they were absolute rubbish.

Well, we dominated but one goal isn't enough to not get pipped at the death. Wasn't sure if we were parking the bus or just in total control for most of the second half. Could've / should've been 3-4 nil. Seip certainly a pleasant surprise this game.

Tommy R... or Tommy P? I recall a lovely backheel goal by the latter.

Crowd was poor just over 10 K ... and my guess 2.5 SFC fans ... 7.5 to 8.5 ... Saturday night, warm, clear weather all day...
Just don't get that. I'd also say SFC maybe 1.5K.
But perfect night. Bluetongue is all its sunset glory and what's traditionally an entertaining event. The atmosphere was fantastic and more and more the Yellow Army's efforts to involve the stands is succeeding.
Although it actually was the second highest crowd of the four games played (will be third for the round) - second placed reigning premiers WSW only managed 14.5K in spite of their 15K+ members.

Reddy 8.5. Really great game. His distribution was Ryanesque.
Storm Boy 7.5. Looked quality again. Needs to be a bit quicker to support our attacks as does Hutcho and Monty.
Siep 7. Looked good.
Tesco 8. Quality.
Rose 7.5 Good game and a great assist.
Duke 7. Worked hard. Gets lost playing in an unfamiliar position but is a great prospect.
Hutcho 7. Solid. Still too negative but did try to get pass forward after 15 of going backwards. Laughed when he broke into space in the second half (the only time he went over half way) and tried to check back but had no support so had to continue on.....now you know how Flores, Macca and Duke feel!
Monty 7. Mixed bag......positives= some crunching tackles, shows himself alot, delivered some good passes and set up Matty for what should have been our second (or fourth)
Negatives = some cheap turnovers.
WeeMac 7.5. Good game but please take the shot son!
Flores 8. Quality and worked really hard and was aggressive. Turned the game in our favour. Take the shot son!
Macca 7.5. Real quality finish but missed an open goal. Good game overall. Probably our best striker now.

I thought Simon and Sterj were excellent when they came on.

I find it hard to justify giving a striker anything over 6.5 when they're not scoring goals or getting assists. Maybe Sterj, because he was inches away from getting us a second, but even though I love Matty and Dukey they didn't have the deft touch and didn't look anywhere as dangerous as Sterj or Danny.

We only play with one striker.

Macca scored a great goal. Don't blame Duke for our team set up.
