While I am disappointed with the result, I think we played well. We created lots of chances and could have seen the score reversed.
We need to tighten up a few things but this is a decent team to watch.
Have to agree. Monty and Tav in there and we'd have won that I'm certain

Lack of experience in midfield showed though in the future Berry and Rose with a stopper with them could be dangerous. Trent and Pain were pushed up higher to help the midfield defensively but that caused Galloway and Roux to be very isolated. I don't think Ascroft is a Centre Half though he does have great control so it would be interesting to see him as a midfielder. Disappointing to concede after the red card but both Berry and Rose were shot and with no help from Fabio it really opened up for them. Considering how young the side is and who we had out I'm not too displeased because I think we could have very easily got something out of this.

Just got home. Angry and drunk, so please keep that in mind...

Good first half, albeit 2nd best team on the pitch. Second half was f**kEN SHIT!!!! We need a decent #10. We're too 1-dimensional.

I rented the Ab Fab movie. The Old Girl and I are going to crack open a good Margret River red and forget today even existed. See you all tomorrow!

Good first half pretty balanced ,unlucky not to equalize Mont and Tav were badly missed Second half inexperience crept in some silly mistakes .bottom line Wanderer too good even with 10 players

Berry looks better up field i'd have rose and mick neil there .
in fact i'd have subbed berry instead of powell and put powell up the back.

either way the class of tarvares and montys bottle were sorely missed .
against the team that lives by anti football

We were rubbish. 2nd half was worse than under Tony.
Defending was pathetic.
Closing down non existent.
Garbage.
Rose and Berry were lightweight. Powell is not a middy.
We need to spend money.
Roux was dreadful.....you can go to Perth mate.

We certainly missed the strength in midfield.
Our continued back passing was horrible. It wasn't the defenders fault as there was nothing happening in the midfield. Pain just kept throwing his hands in the air because if we had passed to him earlier we would have had more chances. Instead we waited until he had two defenders on him then passed him the ball. I actually thought Roux was a great outlet down the right.
We didn't deserve 4 against us but when they went down a player I believe that putting on a midfielder to try to control the middle instead of a striker would have been smarter.
Also I would like to thank the Marinators and especially the band for a really enjoyable atmosphere.

The worst thing is that we still have to pay their benafets

powell works hard he could play holding mid and probably better than ten
i also can't except the panning of the back 4 without the clubs 2 best players
out .

On the way out of the ground, came across a RB celebrating their win. Thinking he was going to rub it in, but he stopped long enough to say that better times were ahead for us as he thought we were much better than last year. He went on to say how young our team is and that he thinks we will be a force to be reckoned with in the near future. Seems other fans may be seeing the improvement for better things.
For mine we did miss Monty & Tav, just the direction & settling influence they give to the younger guys.

We certainly missed Tav and Monty.
The wanderers bossed us in the middle and we started to become very predictable
We have improved significantly but still way too many individual errors cost us, put it down to youth and inexperience but mainly quality.
Its easy to sit back and say we missed chances and it could have been a different outcome but they could have easily put 7 or 8 on us too.
One step forwards 2 steps back it feels like in my humble opinion

Proud of the boys and the crowd though, compare this season to the last 2 and i actually feel gutted again to lose and not think its an inevitable every week, the passion is coming back!

I dont see how.

everyone was steaming as we left. Schoolboy football was the catchphrase. Randoms and people i know but don't sit with were horrified at that shit.
To get dominated by 10 is disgraceful. To not even compete is unforgivable.

Congrats WSW outplayed us, out muscled and out hustled us.

Big gaps between Pain and Trent and Galloway and Roux. They exploited the those holes.

Trent and Pian were terrible at defending deeper today. Pain just looked cooked. Might be hitting a wall after not playing for so long.

Trent had some nice runs but still looses every challenge where muscle is required.

Think PO got the subs horribly wrong today. Pretty sure Fab was coming on for Trent and as was giving the instructions the through ball happened and the red. Seemed to get excited and tried to have all 3 of Pain, Trent and Fab and just didn't work, lost the flow of the team. Then Bingham for Galloway was the worst idea. Way to top heavy and no left back. McGing had no chance playing LB in a back 3. Should have taken McGing or Ashcroft but the balance had gone for desperation.
The WSW controlled the game with time wasting and then controlled the midfield as Rose and Berry tired and we had 5 attackers. Should have taken off Trent and maybe brought on Peterson for Powell. Our normal shape with fresh legs would have been more effective.

Popa's sides are always physical and well drilled defensively and we just couldn't control the game the way we wanted. We had patches but hitting the post just before half time when we had been outplayed during the half was a big opportunity lost.

Bloody Santalab must circle our games, he always scores against us.

Odd reaction.

I'd rather watch what our team did today than all of the shit dished up last season.
True, we have a long way to go, but we are better than in a long time.

I cant give 321 because we didnt have 3 decent players.
Our shape was all over the shop.
When you watch a game of Footy you normally see 2 banks (or rows) of defenders when you dont have the ball. We were just completely random and Roux was on a walkabout so there was usually an unmarked wanderer player at the back post just waiting for a tap in.
For the jokers that have been writing off Monty.....this is a wake up call.
