I think Caceres should be groomed to take Hutcho`s spot.
Although he gave a good account of himself last year Hutcho really hasn`t turned up & lead by example this year.
From what I`ve seen, he has gone back to being the Hutcho of the past. He`s slowed aa bit from last year & rarely makes passes of more that 10m or so.
Whereas, Monty has a go at hitting passes that go through the lines or to wide players to change the point of the attack.

PM showed he`s open to tough decisions by putting Griffith in over Seip.
Is he tough enough to put Caceres in over Hutcho?

You obviously live among the clouds i shout at. I watch Hutcho and he hides in front of the back four, occasionally showing himself to relieve pressure from shaky defenders (unneeded after Mossy's tune up) where he does one of 4 things...1. Passes the ball backwards. 2. Holds the ball, until he feels the breath of an attacker and falls to the ground hoping to get a free kick often after a pirouette. 3. Losses the ball. 4. Passes the ball over the sideline.
Try watching the games, rather than making them up in your head.

My two cents worth:
When Hutch was given the captaincy last year I wondered if he had the right temperament for the job or even the form to expect to be in the starting line-up.
But I knew if there was a right man to lift the toilet seat, should that come to pass - it was the bleeding yellow and navy for 8 years Hutch. His form was good enough and that incredible dream became a reality. Promise fulfilled.

Love him but on this year's form and in the quest for improving team performance I'd like to see Monty and Caceres have a go at DM. With Griffiths, Mossy's shown he's prepared to experiment and I don't think anybody's got immunity. We'll see.

In Mossy we trust ;)

On a lighter note, having watched the game again - surprisingly enjoyable when there is no tension involved - after WeeMac scored we totally dominated until half time. He almost scored a few minutes later, the 37th minute, when he finished off a nineteen consecutive passes move with a chip over Vuko but Cameron Edwards managed to deflect it. The ball was won by Sainsbury and patiently moved from side to side with Flores, Caceres and WeeMac very involved until Duke provided the killer pass for McGlinchey's run from deep. Nineteen passes! If he had scored it would have been a goal for every coaching video.

is that the "im taking my bat and ball and going home" call , just quietly .
Not exactly, but there's very little point in trying to convince someone who clearly has no idea where Hutch plays, has no idea that Hutch is far more effective with the ball than Monty and has no idea how our shape works because he's too busy complaining about Hutch passing sideways or backwards to understand what's actually going on in the football game.

It's not like there's an argument to win here - nobody gets voted off the island. If he wants to imagine games rather than watch them then good for him and I won't waste my time.

Geeze, I'd like to watch that again. You should put it on youtube :)

I would if I could. How to record from my Skybox to my laptop? Anybody?
Skybox is the same as a Fox thingy...I'm in the UK but BT Sports broadcasts every A League game on Sky.

Seip can't use his left foot so makes total sense to me. Let it continue I say
Griffiths looked surprisingly comfortable; he looked as if he was a regular first team player. His left foot gave balance to the team but he was good with both feet and was in just the right spot when trouble beckoned. He's a big bugger too!
He should start against Victory - their pace will be a good indicator of where he really is.

That little grub Burns has been given 2 weeks for his stomp on Hutch. Should have been a straight red....possibly to both of them to be honest.

Yeah Hutch should've gotten carded for his reaction, but Burns should have gotten a straight red. Lucky to get only 2 weeks IMO, pretty disgraceful act. 100 games, zero class.

As I said in my match comments - "Burns could well be in more trouble when he deliberately stood on Hutchinson’s leg; Hutch lashed out and got booked for his troubles but FFA may want to have a look at Burns’ involvement "...the thugs can't get away with it these days.
What was surprising was that the referee was right there but didn't see it.
