I'm pissed off. I didn't get home in time for the game. The manger of my shop is acting like a second wife and the Mariners are playing horribly.
First 20 mins was ok but after that it has been shocking. Passing very poor from Flores, Hutcho and Monty. Fitzy is sloppy and both full backs look like Dracula trying to mark a bloke with a crucifix necklace and pockets full of garlic.
Macca off and Simon on.
Reddy looks very solid so far.

FFS....Reddy just got caught so bloody flatfooted. I kind of think he actually thought it was going over.

FFS. The result looked like a foregone conclusion. Considering how Brisbane have been playing, CCM were lucky to hold them off for so long. It just highlights again the problems up front in the attacking department. I'm hoping it's just early season form and a case of the team not having fully gelled yet, but so far the Mariners miserly efforts in front of goal have been a concern. It shouldn't take a one or two goal defecit for the boys to spring into action.

Liam Reddy had a good game.
Flores was missing.
Defence was better than it has been but no sharpness in attack and too many easy turn overs.
When does a slow start become a poor season?? Bye next week, get 'em sorted Arnie.

Without a doubt. He's the only reason we didn't lose about 3-0.
The draws were concerning enough - dropped points at the start of the season has a big impact upon the ladder at the end of the season, but nobody's ever worried enough about draws to do anything. Maybe the loss will sting them a bit, be a bit of a wake-up call?

Poor technique by too many players, lousy 1st touches.
Monty put in but gave the ball away as many times as he did good things.
Daniel is a good strong striker but has no finesse, has a better 1st touch than Matty Simon, but then who doesn't.
Great debut by Reddy, get used to him all you haters that game will keep him in for a while. Great reaction saves, kicks with both feet and has a good control of the area which will improve. MOM. 3 points.
Best game for a long time for Josh. The only Mariners player that looked dangerous. Hopefully a sign that his mojo is returning. 2 points.

Could have gone either way in the end. Being realistic o-1 was probably a fair result.

Capt was right .....we were f**kin garbage.
Really bad night at the office for Arnie who got everything wrong.
Defensively we were shambolic although both centre backs were improved. A major part of our defensive problems are the midfielders who simply don't pick up (with the possibly exception of Monty).
Hard to blame our lack of quality in the final third when we have dont have any players in the opposition half. We create f**k all, we don't show ourselves when we don't have the ball, we dont give and go and our final pass is abysmal.
Reddy 8. MOM. Get off his back. Looks very solid. Up to Justin to win back his spot if Liam has a bad patch but I think he his a quality keeper who looks focused.
Seip 6.5. Mixed bag. He looks good going forward and defends well sometimes but other times looks loose and easily turned.
Rose 6.5. Hot and cold but nearly won us the game.
Ando 6.5. Improved effort and his best game this year but still no where near as good as he thinks he is. Did some good things but still slow to close down and showed a lack of confidence to put the ball out for a corner when he could have easily put out for a throw although the covering was excellent.
Tesco 7. Better and the only confident player in a shaky back four tonight.
Hutcho 6.5. Did ok early but created very little. Needs a spell.
Monty 6.5. Those mugs on Fox much have watched last weeks game when they gave him 3pts. Worked hard and had a dig but passing average. Better than Hutcho but not by much.
Fitzgerald. 6. Not convincing at all.
Flores 6. His worst game so far.
Duke 7. Looked ok and worked hard. Given no support but one of our best.
Macca 5. Rubbish. Waste of a spot and wasted a great chance when set up brilliantly by Simon.

Siep, Anderson and Rose were awful.
Dukey isn't a wide player and it showed.
Without the (newly christened) #Goodc**t we would have lost by 5

We were so disorganised. Seems like the players need to be introduced to each other again. So many missed passes and constant turnovers. We just couldn't hold the ball.
Much like Vicmariner I'm getting concerned that we may be in for a poor season. Signs haven't been good for the last few games. Having said that I suppose we were still in the match till the end.
Williams was horrible (as usual). Oh, and by the way, HANDBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too much sugar coating on this site.
Terrible start to the season and time for some harsh words before we end up like Scum.
Remember we nearly lost 2 nil to the two worst sides in the comp.
