Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Had potential, but lacked maturity and sorely needs to become a 90 minute player.

On another note raised... and its raised by fans across the league whenever they have to endure a home game for Welly.

The commentary makes me want to cut my head off, jump through the screen and beat them to death with it. The level of bias is just absurd... so much so its not even bias... it really like there is only one team playing.

I find it extremely unprofessional.

You should try streaming 6PR when Glory have a home game.  They both make CoastFM sound like Martin Tyler.
Do they still have George Grillyfish commentating?

If you watch any of the NRL games over there, same thing - it's little brother syndrome

You should have heard the radio coverage Coast-FM had to stream.

The commentators were actually whooping when Welly scored.

We are calling it off the box next season!

I did and I wasn't too impressed. Then again I've heard rugby union broadcasts from Shebangabang and that's the absolute bottom of the sheep!

It was radio coverage, kind of defeats the purpose.

It was pretty average. But you need to remember that they are broadcasting to a NZ audience only usually. Also it was the first time a NZ had made the A-League finals and they needed to win to secure a home final. I am sure NZ listeners would feel the same if it was reversed.

You miss the point.

The Aloi$i penalty was broadcast by Fox to Australian audiences and not to people in Uruguay.

The radio and tv broadcasts are being sent to both home and oppposition audiences therefore there needs to be an element of neutrality.

When Brenton Speed, Andy Harper or Mike Cockerill commentate a Phoenix game you don't hear them whoop when an Australian team scores.

isn't the NZ telecast actually from SkyNZ and Fox just piggy-back onto the broadcast ?  so they are broadcasting for local Sky NZ subscribers with Fox being too stingy to ship over their own commentary team...
