ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I have to say, I've lost quite a deal of respect for Sainsbury over his attitude on this. Have a dig at the management by all means, but leave the fans alone, particuarly when we haven't had much to cheer about in recent months.

Mc has clearly made some enemies. And trent just comes across as sounding uninformed and butt hurt for 'down on his luck' Arnie - who spent double what we did to be more than half as bad.

This... Over and over again... He's right that it shouldn't be something that's generally a thing but to say that it's a particular signifier of where the club is at currently is horrifyingly flawed - as I think was pointed out to him on Twitter as well.
If you snatch a tie from the jaws of defeat, in the last 15 minutes - almost getting the win at that - you celebrate... Doesn't matter where in the world you are or who the team is... That game against MV when Patty got sent off, some years back... We would've clearly won that if he'd stayed on, as it was, in turned into 40 minutes of parking the bus... Bojic had an extraordinary goal-line save amongst others...
Anyway, Sainsbury played in that game, and there was quite a bit of relief afterwards... And there have been others.

In comparison - I think it may have been one of his first games actually same season or the one before, with him playing at FB, agains Heart... We were completely and utterly outplayed through the whole game, and Kwazza snatched a goal in overtime... We had NO right winning that game, but celebrated like we did... From memory Arnie even almost apologised to Heart after... But it was still celebrated... If you're going to run the argument that celebrating a tie is like celebrating a loss, you could easily extend it to the games where you manage to squeeze a result out from that one error.

There's a lot of work to do at the club, for sure, but that sort of comment from him, just smacks of some sort of sour grapes.

Maty Ryan made so many amazing, crucial saves that game

The Victory game? - Yeah that was an insane game on a whole - stands out as one of the most memorable games in my mind, only really outdone by the GF win and perhaps "The Scottish Game" (The one that must not be mentioned ;) ) although that last one is obviously for much much less enjoyable reasons.

Macca was on fire that night as well - if we'd kept all players on the field I'm convinced he'd have gotten well past a hat-trick... He was scoring for fun...

I was thinking of the heart game for the Ryan saves but he had quite a few games to give us a glimpse of where he would go

Glory days - we'll see them again

Haha ah yeah OK... The Victory one just stood out so much to me - obviously... 50/50 option, nice work picking the wrong one eh? ;)

I don't really remember Matty's work in that game though, tbh, what I do remember is that all of a sudden all of our players became horrifyingly prone to having their pockets picked... Every time we had the ball in mid, there'd be a MH player coming up from behind and taking the ball, with ease... It was REALLY frustrating.

Yes - hopefully starting next season ;)

Pretty confident Sains is one of the Arnie tribe that has an axe to grind

There you go, learn something new every day.

Where were his tweets scathing of Sydney's embarrassing performances of late?
