ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Hi guys - As you could guess by the username I'm a Melb fan.
Coming up for the game this weekend and after some local knowledge. Where's good for a drink + pre game feed? Last year we didn't take into account that most bistro's shut after 2.30:doh:
Where you staying and how getting to game
The drinking bits easy, anywhere but leagues club 1or two hours before game.
What's the feelings about the game.
You guys were ordinary against Jets

Have you had enough of Austin yet, he will be coping it

We have a meal at Hotel Gosford after the game, it's good value and better food than the Leagues Club. Agree it isn't hard to find a drinking hole before the game that is only 5 to 10 mins from the stadium.

Hope you enjoy the trip VuckFan!

The Coast Bar and Restaurant (formerly Iguana Joe's in another life) is 600 metres away from the stadium and right on the waterfront. Sit outside and have a drink and light meal while watching the beautiful Brisbane Water just a few feet away. Fishsmum and I have had quite a few 'commiseration' drinks there after our games over the past two years - hopefully this time we'll being having a celebratory ale and wine.

Yes. The Coast Bar is the place to go and only a short stroll from the Ground.

Melbourne Victory were terribly flat in their 0-0 draw against the Jets in Newcastle on Monday and are back in that neck of the woods on Sunday when they face a suddenly in-form Central Coast at Gosford.

The Victory, who are 11 points adrift of top-placed Sydney, are $1.57 to win this one having not lost in their past 10 against the Mariners, and having beaten them 4-1 in Melbourne in December.

The Mariners, who are $5 outsiders in this, have resurrected their season with three consecutive wins to sit just outside the six. But they have only beaten three teams all season, Glory, Adelaide and last week the Wanderers. The draw is a $4.33 shot in that match.

To the people who gave me advice - thank's for that. We are staying in Sydney, but will be up a couple of hours before the match!

In regards to the game itself, I think you guys are a good shot. Obviously we have the better squad, but your squad at the moment appears better managed. Paul Okon is doing a great job and you haven't won 3 in a row for no reason. Us on the other hand, have won 1 from our last 5 and were very sluggish against Newcastle. Was not inspiring at all.
I've tipped us to win, but I wouldn't be overly shocked leaving the stadium without the three points.

Final point. Weather is looking average. Get your shit together guys ;)

From JP's article
Central Coast will be without influential playmaker Nick Montgomery, who is serving a one-week suspension. After 18 rounds he leads the club for chances created (22), assists (four) and crosses (86), and is second for passes (718).

The old cat certainly been playing well but leading attacking stats who would have thought that, can see why we miss him. I reckon defensively he'd be leading a few stats as well, tackles won for sure

You will definitely struggle for a feed unless you can get in around 1.30, most places will shut around 2.30 and Gosford main drag is good for ice and not much else. The Coast bar might be a bit upmarket for you Victory boys:p, nice place but no bistro. There is a pie shop near the boat ramp a bit further up if you want a dirty street pie or hot dog etc also think there is a pie shop between station and ground but never eaten there

Muscut will be spewing after Jets and loosing ground on SFC after the chance to catch them.
We will absolutely miss Monty to the point of you would be 2 goal favourite's without him. You should dominate midfield. We Winning but not playing brilliantly or for a whole game. We score our goals in batches, we will have a 15min period where we dominate score and create chances. We need to make you pay if this happens.
At least you will have a nice view while getting wet and watching your team loose:overheadl:

Might just have to eat a sizeable meal in Sydney before coming up then - Last time I was forced to eat a very average Kebab from a place called Kermat's or something. Credit to them though, only place open at the time.

Yeah I think I'm giving you a bit too much credit (no disrespect) but we are going through our annual mid season cock up so nothing would surprise me
