R2 - Mariners v Heart (away)

Not a good half of football.
Heart are smothering us with Murdocca and Willaims leaving no room in the middle - but besides poor passing, our flanks are in disarray.
Fitzy on the right is missing, nor is Mile on the left particularly working. Rose struggling find a target going forward except Duke. Flores rarely able to find any other option but Duke. Roux the same. Mile needs to come off. Weemac on to the right. Fitzy out left. We will be a different side.

I haven't seen a minute and probably won't get to see any of the second. Someone give me a run down so far. Doesn't look good form phoenix's assessment. :/ I had high hopes for this weekend.

Good subs by Arnie. What's even better than taking one of two not working wide mids off... taking both off.

How good is it to finally have someone who can take pens?

Quick summary for eenfish. First half and first 15 of second poor. Our own worse enemy with Heart having too much pace to be able to make mistakes in your own back third and not get punished. Then Mile and Fitzy come off and Weemac largely transforms game with the help of Duke, Roux and Simon. We get two pens, first Simon held down by Kinorbo, second handball. Flores converts both.

Last thirty so much improved. Though we keep givoing Heart chances with stupid mistakes and getting hit by their speed.
Without two top draw saves from Pasfield (who was at fault for first goal - though Williams also marginally offside) we would have been done and dusted.

Finals score 2-2.

I think if he was sighted he should have done better - but I wonder how much of a view he had before Williams wheels out of the way of Golgol's shot. The shot from behind the goal was off-centre - but it does look like he may have been unsighted till late in which case the call against him is harsh.

Can I just say it's good to have Matty back causing trouble for the opposition he looks to be getting back into things and Pedj who? Roux had an amazing game, what an amazing first touch he has! Our back 4 are still getting comfortable with each other.

Pasfield is just going to improve with every game he plays, he defiantly deserves to be our #1.

Good to see WeeMac back, I think we finished the game with our A-team hopefully we can start with that lineup next week.

I missed the first half but I saw some good energy after Arnie made the 2 subs.

lucky you .it was the worse defensive display I've seen from a mariners team in 5 or 6 years.
we were shite . we should be refunding the point to heart . god knows mebrahtu murdered so many chances.

if your gunna watch a replay .hide your razor blades .have a bottle of scotch at your side and probably a chicken wire screen in front of the telle.
a tea towel might be handy as a handchief won't cut it. for the tears

I absolutely loved the fans there today, esp. Harry. Loud and proud, so glad we outsung the pathetic 'Yarraside'

Can't wait until you guys come down next year.

p.s I was that guy with the bag on my head during Flores's first peno.

Good thing that Harry wasn't playing cos it'd've been a lot more worse than it already was
