ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Where has this been all season!? The bit where they group on in defense rather than stand off?

Gotta say as well - Ascroft did a decent job on keeping Fornaroli quiet.

f**king hack ref fury inducing!

What about our Tactics?

Do you think Paul should remember his Italian heritage and have been defensive immediately after the red while 1-1 away from home?

We were to attacking for a team with 10 men for 65mins away from home. We had a back 4 and McGing and Monty in front.
Pain was pushed back and tried hard but you don't want him defending there for that long.

We needed to sacrifice Powell who was never defending deep and put on Neill or or Berry and clog the middle and play Fab/Pain/Trent as a two prong attack a 432 if you like.

Appiah tries hard but just not a threat compared to Fab, Pain and Trent. Feel sorry for him as works hard but just doesn't look up to it.

The Neill for Galloway sub just seemed a waste

Ref ruined the game but our defending is farcical.
Izzo mom for the 2nd week running.
We did show guts tonight so that was pleasing.

Honestly thought our defense did well to contain them. We could have easily lost 4-1 or more.

11 Rounds to go. There was no way we were going to win a game in Dec or Jan, with the exception of next week v Perth maybe. So I reckon 3 points next week and we're a slim chance to not spoon. However I think that unlikely with Roy out, so it's the spoon for us! I've had about 60 mins of enjoyment so far this season - second half of the win over Perth and the few minutes we were level with Sydney.

Yet again basic defending skills let us down. That can only be fixed by new blood.

As ever, 11 on 11 with Tavares and Faty and we get at least a point. I think Roy might struggle to get off that card, the arm was raised, he looked 1st and he has previous. I will be grossly unfair but you know....CCM

There's no way he'll get off the card. I had to listen to the game on the radio, apart from the last ten minutes.
Half time they had a sports analyst on and he said it was a send off. Just seeing it then on youtube it's worse
than they described.

Coast FM reckon we could have seen the last of both Faty & Tav. I thought Tav would be back.

Be interesting to see how Bingers goes.

We battled and defended in numbers but if you watch the full 90 again, with a critical mind you will see some absolutely horrendous defending. Positionally they are all at sea.
Thankfully City are very poor in front of goal and Izzo played a blinder.

McGing needs a spell in the youth team.

His mistake rate would be the highest in the team. Trying hard but lacks composure so not suited for the mid and his passing is poor.
Defensively very nieve and is not good in the air.
So I don't see him starting any games next year.
He does have potential and looks good at training but he is not the standard we need.
Same can be said for half the team.

Highlights from the away bay:

- 40 people outsinging an entire stadium of plastic fans
- "he's got a ferret on his head" at City's #27
- hanging shit on Caceres and Fitzy who warmed up in front of us
- "Welcome to the Melbourne Library" clapclap clapclapclap clapclapclapclap
- "You're shit when you're red, you're shit when you're blue, f**k Melbourne Heart, and f**k City too"
- "It's only 2-1, it's only 2-oneeeeeeeeeeee, how shit must you be, it's only 2-1"

I particularly enjoy how you quote your own posts.

But the main question is how does he gain a "spell in the youth team" when they play their last game this week and if successful he probably wouldn't be eligible for the GF?
