Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mitch on joining Victory and wanting to be in the squad to play us

“Everyone who has come in has done well. I never really expected to start from the start, when I signed I probably thought I was going to be a squad player.

Were things that bad you'd leave us and a starting role to go be a squadie? He must miss the lower leagues of England and being a nobody. Week in week out to tough for him

I think he's just pandering to Muscats ego which would be an essential skill for a player at Victory you'd imagine.

Pain and Galloway will be well up for this. but Victory have so much quality, we'll need to have them off their game or putt them off it.

My best guess is that if we can keep possession for 100% of the game, we can 'probably' stop them scoring.

If we can control the ball Muscat's ego will get in the way of his gameplan and we have a good chance. I think how we played against Sydney FC was a prototype for these sought of sides, very slow build up so the opposition has the least chances to take on our defence with the ball. It obviously was a bust last time bit maybe with a bit more composure we can do it properly.
