ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I'm looking forward to this game in a bizarre kind of way. I'm expecting to lose... and lose convincingly. As such, the pressure of expectation is removed. I can concentrate on looking for the little things in our play that 1) give me joy, and 2) give me hope.
Great post, I sorta feel the same way.

The only thing I would add is that these kids need to know that we understand that they are doing it tough.

So we need to get behind them and sing loud and proud, regardless of the result.

Never before have they needed us the fans to get behind them, to keep them going until the reinforcements arrive.

f**k it... I mean... If we can't enjoy an entertaining win, at least we can outsing Brisbane - ought not be that bloody hard either...
Take whatever positives we can get for this season - yep.

EDIT: For the linguistically enclined readers who might be struggling to make sense of my "writing" style, I call it "gonzo commenting" - it's gonna be big and I plan to be shot out of the Mariners cannon at my funeral ;)

Ok scratch the zinc cream but we may still utilise the sand.

Monty back is a good start but won't answer our creative issues. Upside is I'm positive after last weeks display Okon will have been working hard on it. Wonder if Faty will come straight back in. After 4 -1 loss, my guess is yes.

I'd bring Faty in for McGing and i would be thinking strongly about starting Posco in front of Ashcroft if he is fit as we need some physicality.

Fortune is a fickle thing. Clearly one of our only positives last year and I would have placed him well ahead of mcging or ascroft - (Let alone Neil) but cop an injury... cbs do well and things change quickly.

I'm not sure about his passing range. Suspect this might be one issue. I think he's the most natural replacement for Monty myself and his height as a CB may be the other thing costing him.

Middy told me he is a DM not a CB originally. Interesting if true.
