ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mate in the team I play in had bruised heel... he was out for months... key reason as he told us ... the heel has a lot of muscle but little blood flow and you need the blood flow to fix the problem as the heel struggles to get better because you keep walking on it ...

If you have a injured figure it get lots of blood and you can rest it... the heel is had to rest and not much of a blood flow to fix...

BTW don't ask me why the blood flow is so important ... just this bloke was told it was ...

In the good old days he`d just play in goals until he was ok to play on the field again.. ;)

learnt about this in the past semester at uni (Podiatry). Your mate explained it pretty well ;)
In regards to the importance of blood flow. I dunno everyone's basic understanding of the CV system. I guess people probably would understand that blood carries Oxygen to body parts (via arteries) --> veins carry back waste products.
Anyway oxygen= important tool in muscle recovery/rebuilding
In addition to Oxygen, the blood also carries nutrients

Whether anyone really cares about the above is another question altogether :p

Am I the only one on here streaming..... up 2-0 at halftime and loving our ballwork and movement.... would love to see this go 3 or 4 nil by the end of the game but it is that DREADED 2-0 buffer we had in the GF.... plzzzz don't let it happen again!! ;)

Jeez that was tough going in the second half.

Never seen such a reversal like that. Credit to the lads though, should have been 3-4 up at half time.

The ghosts of the Grand Final were there until the last seconds, but buried at last.

I'll be the first to say it.... EPIC 1st half :eek:verhead: ABYSMAL 2nd half :headbutt:

To say I was a little excited at halftime was an understatement.... then to watch the 2nd half.... what can one say, absoluetly nerve racking with flashbacks of the GF coming flooding back. Sitting in our own half defending like that is what cost us the GF and I could just soooo see it happening again.

Matty Ryan looked bloody comforable in the 1st half and as the 2nd half wore on.... thinking the nerves were getting to him just a little.

All I can say is, THANK F*&# we got that win off our back after being 7 games to blot in the last year and a bit.. was good to finally get one over them. I can see it being a Mariners-Roar GF again!!

Good point Mr Celery, should be enjoying this moment :-D
However, it's hard not to be a little disappointed how we let roar play themselves into that game.

I am happy to take the result without being too worried about the performance. Wilko summed it up perfectly. Brisbane are still a force to be reckoned with but we should have beaten them twice last year so I am happy that we have finally done it. Top of the table, by three points and with a game in hand, after having given Brisbane an eight point start after the first three games - unbelievable.
