ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

#CCMvWSW SOLD OUT!

Central Coast Mariners wish to advise the Club’s Hyundai A-League opener against Western Sydney Wanderers at Bluetongue Stadium this afternoon is now officially sold out.

The final available on-sale tickets for the round 1 encounter were purchased at 10:10am this morning.

As of late Friday afternoon, the Mariners also had a record 5,448 Members signed up for the Club’s Hyundai A-League Championship defence.

The Mariners originally targeted 5,000 Members for the 2013/14 campaign – a 45 per cent increase on the Club’s previous best Member figure set last season.

Central Coast Mariners Group General Manager, Mr Peter Turnbull, said the strong Member numbers and round 1 attendance will help the Club get the 2013/14 season off to a strong start off the pitch.

“The Club is aiming for a crowd average of over 12,000 fans per match this season and certainly these early season metrics will help us reach that goal,” Mr Turnbull said.

“There is a great amount of enthusiasm about this season’s competition, and as defending Champions we’re excited by the prospect of opening the campaign with the first sold out match of the Hyundai A-League.”

“We encourage anyone considering becoming a Member to contact the Club next week to ensure they don’t miss any of the 12 other huge home games we have at Bluetongue Stadium this season.”

Kick-off in the Hyundai A-League round 1 encounter between Central Coast Mariners and Western Sydney Wanderers this afternoon is at 5:30pm.

Thinking I'll drag my young 'un down to bay 15 so he gets a sense of it... His mum usually prefers the under cover option of bay 2 but she's otherwise engaged, hopefully I can exercise some influence... can't wait! :)

Figuring that, win or lose, we'll at least be dryer than last time, so it's already an improvement ;-)

I thought Storm had a great game and was also impressed with Fitzy, especially first half. Flores didn't look 100% fit and Zac was off the pace a little but overall a terrific game for this time of the season. It was a much better game than the Friday night game IMHO. Hoping Flores came off as a precaution and no injuries came out of the game.

Flores apparently was just cramp. Zac has had calf stiffness all week and struggled a bit later in the game before being replace. Matt Simon's first competitive game in 15 months.

I think the boys did pretty well. As well as the two you mentioned I thought Pasfield made some great saves. He just needs to be a bot more comfortable with the ball at feet. The golden boot is yet to come back and I think we missed Wee-Mac a lot. His first thought seems to be to go forward and we seem to create more with him on the field.
