ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

That's it, I'm withdrawing my somewhat tepid support of Reddy.

I forgot about his crazy antics on the plane to nz......not the sign of a switched on and focused professional.

Plus I don't want to be burnt and not get the chance to drink TB's Fat Yak.

Plus he was a Scummer.

I went and watched the boys training this morning.

First thing there was no Reddy and no Jamie Young - it looked like young Bradasevic with Justin. BTW Bradasevic seems a bit short for a front-line keeper (though it never affected Ron Corry).

Flores's finishing seems a lot more clinical than some of our other boys. Let's hope some of his technique rubs off.

There was a drill with long balls from the DM to wide left and wide right. Rose and Slater were on the left and Roux and Morton on the right. First impressions of Slater is that he controlled the long balls better than the other 3. Roux also looked good and some of his crossing looked very good.

Sterj was just doing stretches and Kwas was doing light training by himself on the small field and Michael Neill looked to be missing (school?)

Mike Charlesworth turned up and seemed to be showing a group of people around the development.

Duke to train with West Ham

00072389-leadimage.jpg

Central Coast Mariners attacker Mitchell Duke will depart Australia this afternoon for a week-long training stint with Barclays Premier League outfit West Ham United.

Duke was called up to Holger Osieck's 2013 EAFF East Asian Cup squad that took place in Korea Republic last month and obviously caught the eye of the EPL club.

The 22-year-old also received a stamp of approval from Osieck after he scored two goals in his three appearances at the tournament and now has a realistic shot at making the Socceroos side for Brazil 2014.

Duke started in 5 of his 21 appearances scoring six goals for the Mariners.

The 2013 Hyundai A-League Championship winner is currently scheduled to return to Australia on Saturday 17 August.

Exactly. Because every time we've lost a key young player midseason recently we've done horribly and not won a trophy...

He will do great at West Ham after Holger has taught him the Sam Allardyce style of chasing long balls in desperate causes.
It will be a bugger if we lose him though...we will 'only' have Mat Simon and Danny McBreen!

He's taking a week to train in pre-season. Not a lot to worry about there, though he's probably better than Andy Carroll, so we should be in line for somewhere upwards of GBP35 million, right? ;)
my brother's better than andy carrol & i don't even have a brother!!!:piralaugh:

Andy Carroll was brilliant until to went to the Car Thieves.....they wrecked him.

Being serious Duke has a long way to go until he is as good as an out of form Carroll.
