Take your pick for worst on ground, but even worse was Mckinna. The worst managed game i have ever seen. What the f**k is he doing with 2 right footed players on the left. No plan at all. On this game its time to fire up the Mckinna out thread which i have never been for. He had no answer for anything
:naughty:

Let's not get too depressed! This is going to be a season where all teams are pretty evenly matched. We are travelling ok at the moment considering we have a number of players short on match fitness and we are not quite there in terms of the right balance of the side. Looking at the other results over the weekend, not many teams got away from us even though we lost. Of all the teams in the comp, only the GC can be happy so far.

I was planning to take the family to Bluetongue for the GC game. Not anymore.
If Adelaide had a more competent attack we would have lost 4 or 5 zip.
Our passing was rubbish, our midfield couldnt hold their own and didnt feed the strikers. Travis was the only player who threatened Adelaide,so the coach replaces him!??
Why add another striker when the midfield was getting beaten and couldnt feed 2 strikers previously???
Where was our Jamaican international, where is that welsh bloke Crowell?
The team is poorer for the loss of a dynamic creative midfielder like Gumps and an effective stiker like Petrovski.
I feel some sympathy for Elrich being played on the left, but surely there a left footer in the Youth League who would be stoked to fill in?
Even by Mariners standards this was mediocre.

part time fan?

Disillusioned fan

weak. if you are going to scrutinize the team and their performance, at least have the decency to turn up to the games.

Pfft! There is no need to waste hard earned brass to consume a sub-standard product and point out its shortcomings.

Wow.........that was dreadful stuff.

I new we would lose as soon as I saw the team.  No balance and 2 dodgy defenders in the back 4.

Everyone was rank apart from Travis and Wilko.  Boogs & Pedj were passable. Hutcho ok.

The rest were pathetic.

Management was shambolic!

To be fair to Hutcho, he hasnt played a bad game so far this season.

The DM role suits him

and he was playing AM this game

as wombat said the balance wasn't there

we only had pedj screening so their very strong midfield ran riot

So if you were picking a side to counter a strong 5 man MF would you not revert to 4231? or maybe play a left footer on the left?

of course, especially away from home and we said so in our radio coverage

the first time lawrie has got things tactically wrong this season

the brisbane loss didn't come about through tactics but through a very lacklustre performance

i actually think the boys put in last friday but were hamstrung by tactics and a couple of passengers

Wow....

If only there was a way to predict how the team would play before bothering going to the game... (please note sarcasm)

Seriously... how's about turning up and supporting the team?  No, that's just silly.

It's called the bandwagon. Fruitbat is demonstrating how to get off the bandwagon. I'm sure once we start winning a few, we will see people jumping back on. It's silly to expect these people to support the team through good AND bad!
