ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Hows the pitch looking?

Boys trained on it in the wet today.
Pitch looks pretty good. Not perfect, but certainly very decent.
The replacement patches are now light green and still visible unfortunately -  but once they roll the lines in presumably they will be much less noticeable.

Hopefully those patches are the only part of the pitch which needed replacing, and after 6 weeks off the rest will be also up to standard

Yeah I hope so. Seemed like a bit of an odd move. As there were a couple of areas that seemed like there was a lot of slipping/turf giving way. Hopefully all the sand work took care of that.

Also they rolled fat vertical lines down it today. All but eclipsing the new squares. They'll still be there, but happily won;t be much of an eyesore.

Looking forward to seeing how it plays.
EDIT * CANNOT BLOODY WAIT*  to see how it plays!

for six weeks of maintenance the pitch looks average
average it a compliment, there's a massive skid mark down the centre of the field spaning from one end of the pitch to the other, then there's a very noticable patch on the side where the teams run out, PATHETIC!

Pitch was a disgrace - covered in sand, still cutting up all over the place.

CCM simply lied in order to take ACT's money

Does BT have full time grounds keeping staff, or council staff that have other duties?

If they contracted advice from Sydney re maintenance, I'd imagine the staff are unqualified?

. and i assume they're still paying the guy to run out with a bucket and sand to play with the divots during breaks in play

lol. I think thats pretty bloody fair Arab.

Looked like a real dogs breakfast up close - though apparently was very smooth to play on.

They have worked on it, truly they have...

But 7 weeks to get that??

Honestly it looks worse than it did before they started, was clearly soft to play on, still tearing up, and the way the sand was spraying up now was just ridiculous. And the giant skid mark seems to have just erupted out of nowhere?

The skidmark is on google earth maps (dated a couple of years back) It appears that the continual grass cutting this ground gets is not allowing the root level to grow deeper so the grass just balls up on top of now essentially a sand pit.
