ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Surely Danny Sydney Granny gets the flick after tonight

only he’d be stupid enough to think the big blue would be a great game to bring back the Victory fans.

Surely more drama tonight
Fan bases who always clash
OSM not lying down on being the active support
Huge police presence with MV not acknowledging OSM.
Surely heavy handed policing
You can feel it bubbling already and APL have shown a complete lack of ability to read the room
Both teams suck

If there is no drama tonight it will be a miracle
I have a conspiracy theory that Victory fans will f**k up so they take the penalty this season when they’re getting the spoon anyway. And at the encouragement of the club.

Thought there were no away fans allowed?
That was only the initial sanctions. They have now ceased just in time to play SFC

there is an awaybay for this game tickets

MV can only have Club members in the North and South ends and active bays behind goal in North End are closed.

People on Twitter saying SFC could set out to cause some trouble to get the point deduction and the OSM won’t back down if challenged.

Interesting first game to see how it all works

Then they’ll Apply a new one after that one. I still like the idea though

Nope that was extended. Shouldn’t be away sales as that would breach the final sanctions:

  • Include a direction that no specifically allocated Club supporter seating at the Club’s away games will be provided for the remainder of the 2022-23 A-League Men season and 2022-23 A-League Men Finals Series.”

Anyone got paramount to play the pre show? Looks like someone forgot to press record.....

Edit - restart did the trick

Victory seemed very disorganised when they got into the final third-poor passes, wrong options and very little interplay between attacking players. They were missing Ikonomidis and D'Agostino which did blunt their attack.

Lolley is very good for FC and Brattan is such a good passer especially out to the wings.

Surely Popovic is on borrowed time. Probably can't afford to pay him out
I doubt the Board would the tumerity to sack the coach of the year or one as successful previously as Popovic.
That would be admitting total failure by the coach.
I see that Popa is starting to use a lot of younger players to shore up his position as well...

yeah he brought on juric !! the guy that i think can play is william wilson and would be suited in a 442.
but poppa is coach of the year

I don’t think there’s any doubt Popa can get great results and if you need to turn around a dumpster fire he’s got to be a top choice. But he also doesnt seem to be able to back it up over a longer period - probably that same strictness not being a sustainable strategy and burning out some players. Potentially why he goes for players that have fallen in to line previously - aka the Perth B team this season.

Agree he rarely puts two good full seasons together if ever. He would be a tough manager to play under but not for all the good reasons.
