ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Segunda division B, pool 1 - Spain.

I believe there are about 7 or 8 pools in the B division
In Segunda B (third division)
There are 4 pools, of 20 teams each...that's a total of 80 teams.
Top 4 teams from each pool enter qualification process at end of season, where top 4 from that get promoted to the Segunda division.

Personally i like this idea...it's something the A-league could possibly look into for promotion relegation if that day ever comesthat's s (of pools)- some teams may change pools depending on what other teams are in league
I know Real Madrid Castilla (our 2nd team) changed pools this year...primarily because we are central in Spain, thus make up the numbers to balance out geographically based pools.
e.g.
Say Pool 1= Primarily team/s from Tasmania and Victoria.....may include from S.A or Canberra some years
Pool 2= Primarily NSW...Primarily within 3 hour radius of Sydney. Some years may include Canberra and/or Northern teams (eg. Coff's Harbour).
Pool 3= Primarily QLD teams. Some years may include teams from Northern NSW (eg.Coff's Harbour) or Nth Territory (Darwin).
Pool 4= Western Australia= From WA, and most likely usually S.A and N.T
Still a long way off...but this would be bette suited to another topic

Oh and on the topic of the 2nd and 3rd division spain, I like the idea of reserve teams plundering the 2nd division as competitive entities, yet ofcourse can't gain promotion to same league as Main team!

AND Back on the topic of the striker...Typically a lot of players in Spain 3rd div I would be hesitant in signing, however they are some gems i hear, particularly the younger ones (anyone over 25 NO WAY) but they usally get snapped up.
However if he offer us a different dimension in attack ie. SPEED, creativity (in the forwards) and has good technical ability (not hard in this league...) (a bit of flair would be nice too), then it would be tempting
And besides wasnt Smeltz playin conference league (or something arather) back in England?

Tbh, ideally I would like a striker of starting quality, but its not even midseason and thats looking hard to come by...I would be happy with a half decent impact player of the bench (until at least January).
I have every confidence Arnold would be able to definately find us the right striker next off-season, but until then this sounds like we are definately exploring the right avenues!

It's a little slow, but both forums are slow (the YA one is slower than this one). A lot of the old forum activity is now happening on twitter, facebook and tumblr.

This forum's still getting a fair few posts per day though. I check it a few times a day and there's often something new.
