Apart from Blue Tongue the best field on the coast.
probably better surface than blue tongue thats for sure
General playing surface, maybe, I havent seen it for a few weeks so wont comment too much.
Goalmouth at the car park end looked awful

Header from Trifiro free kick so not at all a laughable situation.
Remember guy's...only reason Budgie got this game was because the Mariners asked us.
Pluim Park was nominated to be the field Mariners Youth League games are/were to be played at. Budgie only got this due to the Canteen facilities being closed down by council (don't quote me on this, could be wrong). To my knowledge PP's playing surface is looking great.
Budgewoi's (Frank Millington Field) summer activities usally consist on 7-a-side once a week, however since April 2008 they have played host to both the Mariners senior squad (20 odd players along with the youth team squad and their youth train-on squad.
About a month ago BT management told the Mariners that they are not allowed at the staduim until further notice. THIS IS A DISGRACE. There are no excuses for the playing surface to be the way it is. Teams playing us at home are no more disadvantaged for playing away than we are for playing at home. Not even allowed on the day before the game for set moves.
Activity of any kind will slowly wear down any pitch. PP was over used in 08 and has had to recover. With the Mariners training on BUD1 four times a week, for the last month, off course the goal mouths are going to look a bit ordinary. That said, I know that it was as good as we could of got it with the Budget (what Budget) we have.
Don't go down the track of comparing PP to Budgie....we are on the same side! the staduim unfortunatley is not holding up to there agreement due to the sub standards of the pitch.
Would hate to see our Youth team be forced to play out of Sydney like the womens team!
