ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Melb Heart vs CC Mariners

Bikinigirl - Even though I think you're right, and the wording probably goes back to when it was simpler and it was 1 round of games per week, it's a rule book and rule books are meant to be specific. If that rule says one thing but intends something different, what about the rest of them? Chaos!

. the thing is all rule books are open to interpretation (specific or otherwise) ... but that will only take us back to conspiracy theories :p

Based on performance, I'd have Kwassie on before Sutton. Especially against Heart, who have quick feet. Sutton looks a bit heavy-legged so far. Possibly still getting used to the heat and pace.

Certainly nice to have such a range of forward options on the bench!

Rules should be vague and open to different interpretations depending on who is reading them? I think we will have to agree to disagree on that one! ;D

As was I ...
ditto

although... (sure, I'd love us to win the plate - again - but) the result means we're close to a guaranteed finish 1 or 2. A win and a draw in the last 5 games would now essentially seal this, regardless of any other results.

If fact, even with 5 losses, we can't fall lower than 4th and 2 draws would be enough for 3rd.

First is all that counts. Anything else will be disappointing, especially from the point of view of what that would mean for our form going into the ACL and the finals.

u r right being top of the table so long winning the league has 2 be the target although melb heart away is a hard game i dont think a draw would be a bad result.

Roar have 4 games left and they're only 3 points down after their 3-0 win against the nix last night.

Mariners have 5 games left.

Assuming Roar win all their remaining games it means we've got to win 3 and draw 1 to take the plate. Don't know about everyone else, but I'm concerned about that with our inconsistent form lately. I really hope we come back on song and get three wins in a row. We've got Heart, Sydney and Perth coming up; the opportunity is ours to take.

In the last round of 2008, we were waiting for the results of other games after we failed to close out the title ourselves. Fortunately the results fell our way that day. It would be nice if we could avoid that this time.

We must win today or we're giving the Roar excellent motivation to keep winning.

Very serious game today. Win and the pressure goes back onto Roar. Lose.....doesn't bear contemplating.
