ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

At least we we better than we have been for the last 7 games but the truth is we are looking at the wooden spoon for next season.

It is a major worry!!!

The biggest problem with the club at the moment is the insane negativity and mindless stupidity shown by many of the dingbats and homesick poms on this forum.

I suggest anti depessants.

Australia is a great country.I've been here 19 years and been a citizen for 17.

I love it here.So much so I hadn't been back to the old one until last year for 14 years and then I saw nothing there to entice me back.

The only thing making me depressed is the shit football we are playing and I know a few Aussies who feel the same way.

It has nothing to do with being homesick.

The biggest problem is sycophants like you who refuse to see or admit that we have a problem!

7 loses and 1 draw out of our last 8 games spells...PROBLEM.

Appalling style of long ball Football....PROBLEM.

Inability to string more than 2 passes together...PROBLEM.

As to being homesick...nah...been here too long, married an Aussie and have 3 little half castes.

Now wake up and smell the coffee you silly boy and stop believing everything the CCM tell you and start making opinions for yourself.

I didn't realise you were a homesick pom, I thought you were a dingbat. Now I know you are both.

Good results, four years of successful construction and stability from a base built on trust and no money and you want to throw it away because of a poor run.

I suppose you would have put the cleaners through after V2. I suppose you would have got rid of Merrick after V3.

If you want that style of management follow Sydney.

My opinions are my own and if you had been following the team and the forum since the beginning you might realise this.

You have always been an apologist.

I have already stated that Lawrie should be given this year to turn things around but that we NEED a proper coach as well as a manager.

Why would I have got rid of Merrick?..Victory are consistantly the best team in HAL....and they continue to build for the future.

The Mariners have been great overall but we are going backwards recently and it needs to be addressed.

Do you actually know anything about Football??

I am LOVING this.  ;D

P.S.  A quote from a certain 365 days a year Football website not far from here..... slightly modified, but proving a similar point:

"You might argue that the quality of the football is irrevelant and that the prize of Asian Champions League football is worth the sacrifice of entertainment. But that is a shortsighted approach when clubs are trying to attract a new generation of fans, who will be reluctant to stump up $25 for an adult ticket to 90 minutes of 'how can a professional footballer fail to clear the first man with a corner?"

6,000 plus hardcore fans braved the cold and wet conditions to get behind a history making Mariners team but were let down by the dreadful negative tactics of fear of coach McKinna; Pohang were rubbish, they offered nothing, they were there for the taking.

It is a worry that we are just providing entertainment for Serious. That is reason enough to stop now.

There are many issues that need addressing in the team most of them due to the lack of technical abilties of the players. This is a problem that will not be cured by the coach or manager at A-League level, they should be more involved with the tactical side of the game. It needs to happen at the Youth league level and much earlier.

This is a problem across the board in Australia clearly demonstrated by the A-League Socceroos. Mind you a bit more prep may have helped them.

As for being an apologist (many here would not know the true meaning), that may be so, but I refuse to join those that fail to see the positives. It is very easy to knock and complain and also very destructive.

You sir, are an idiot.  If that's what you took from that quote/post, then you need to learn how to read and analyse a lot better than you're doing now.
