Zura copped a lot of stick from around where I was on the grounds that he was shit, nothing about his colour.

I agree with Perm, there were NO, repeat No racist chants from bay 16 to either him or Song.

No racist comments from us.

there was enough to bag them out about without being racist. even if song came from argentina and zura came from france... they were still shit.

Contrary  to most of the posts I tho we played poorly its just the Jets played worst.

Maybe a sh*t day at work, but OGrady long balls and putting the ball out when under pressure is something park players do and against a good side would put us under pressure. We played a very congested game mainly going down the centre, with long balls to three tall strikers,  Osman & Porter had poor games IMO, there passing at times against a better team would have hurt us.

Good things coming out were Nik & Grumpy comebacks, Sash holding of the ball at times instead of mad rush 10, 000 miles per hour play as seemed to be our style tonight, DM presence on the ball is good his goal was pure class with touch control and turn .. and he misses two sitters , the second half miss, missed by maybe ten meters. Wilko seems to be getting some speed back.

My biggest question of the night was why with the free just outside the box did Nik not take the shot .

I am glad we won.. just think Jets played crap . And we played less crap.

Compared to the absolute rubbish that was pretending to be football last weekend, last night was a great improvement....
The boys seemed to be much calmer on the ball, not always scrambling and hoping to hit their passes.
Still much improvement to be had, but a hell of a lot better than last week.

We were predicting which corner Nik would aim for and it looked like our boys in the wall did their jobs and created a gap too.

We were terrible last night. Mariners deserved the win, although they didn't play overly well, just alot better than us. Jets fans were great, travelled in great numbers and made alot of noise which was great.
A few pretty bad incidents that i saw, including some ridiculous seco's who abused jets fans and actually pushed one down the exit stairs resulting in broken ribs, absolute disgrace. Then the mounted police came to difuse the arguements that were now rageing with this absolute dickhead, but only made it worse. Very poor handling by police and seco's.

Its only the scum who think it "funny" to walk into or in front of our bay. Why? nothing good can come of it and as we saw outside, their confrontational posturing went v wrong

I was all keyed up for him to take it too. Then it was completely wasted - as were a lot of our set plays.

Plenty of missed opportunities from both sides in a game of many chances. Can't believe that with the pace and chancec in the first 10 minutes there was only one goal.

One I would have loved to happen was David D'Apuzzo's in added time.

Unfortunately I can confirm some nasty comments aimed at Zura.  Bay 7 some idiot calls him a effing black bastard.  A number let him know they were unimpressed, but he continued with various pieces of abuse but none in the same vein.

Just watching the replay ... Did I see sackwhacker call O'Grady something unsavoury?

A great game though.  Marinators owned the Squadron.  Awesome to see the commitment that was so lacking from the boys last week, everyone where I was sitting was commenting on the change.

Hate to say it but MOM of the match could have gone to Covic.  If not for him it could have been a blood bath.  The save off D'Apuzzo was class.
