ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariners vs MV R22

I would do it except I can no longer download the FoxSports highlights clips. The software I used to use no longer works. Short of vidcam filming the PC screen I know of no other way now.

they're making the doco about the mariners this year - maybe they'd consider producing a dvd of the season to go alongside (esp. if it turns out to be successful)?

Step 1- own an iPad

Step 2- make friends with someone with foxtel that does NOT own an iPad

Step 3- buy them a beer and get them to log you on

Step 4 watch mariners games on your iPad for free

Yeah, it's the overseas bit that's a killer. I've tried recording matches from the stream, but I haven't had any good results. If I was back in Aus, I'd definitely set something up with Foxtel and a PVR.

I don't have any problems watching the mariners on my laptop in the UK - I do not know how to record the feed and it would be nice to have some games to re-visit.

Plenty of program's to record streams, google it

The problem with live stream is that the quality is totally crap.

To get anything worth using I'd want to capture the higher definition Fox Sports clips, either from their site's match reports, the Match Centre mini-clips, or their re-production match summaries on sites like The World Game or other news sites.

I have tried many apps and can say that I can't find one that record these Fox Sports clips. FLV Downloader, Get FLV, Video Downloader, StreamTransport, ZiggyTV, Freemake Video Downloader - non work of FoxSports clips. At best you may get to download the advert at the beginning.

If you know of one that works FFC Mariner, please put me out of my misery and let me know! :)

I know a few of those outrageous people who download stuff.

Terrible I know, it's people like that who stop the Internet being the pure, wholesome place it should be

I will ask round

If you know of one that works...

You can use this for downloading most (I won't say "all" but I haven't had any problems with this method) videos from websites using this method...

1. Install Flashget (not sure if this is compulsory but it's a great download manager anyway)
2. Install FlashGot (Firefox addon)
3. On the page with the video you want, right-click, click on FlashGot Media

If you don't see FlashGot Media as an option, you need to press play to get the browser to start loading the video (you can pause it then)...

... Youtube calls everything videoplayback - just rename it something nice and it is a flv (flash) file
4. Save and enjoy

Just watched the replay on my iPad at work... :) Gee we were good. the wing play of ibini and weeman was sublime, decisive running and providing extra bodys in the middle when needed. mcbreen drifting around the front and filling in central space in the middle was far more effective than tethering him to a 10 role. A lot of dangerous balls went from centre backs or Ryan to winger or striker, not via the pressed DM's, it was fun to watch them try and press, just to have the ball nailed onto the feet of a fast moving wide player or chest of striker.

Was better to watch than the sydney game TBH, a lot of tactics and structures on display.
