drop Hutch for Liam Rose, keep Fitzy and straight replacement Ferriera for Dukey. Bring Kalik when appropriate, really like to see this kid cause some havoc

Why drop Hutch? Even his most one-eyed critics would have to say he had a storming game on Saturday.

It was when Kalik came on for Caceres that the game kicked on - if anything he'd be the one to bring in. But he's very young and I think getting tastes rather than the three course meal is still the way to bring him through.

Agree. Same side apart from Fab on for Dukey and bring on the kids when needed.

I must admit to not having seen the game against AU, so I haven't seen this kid play. However, if we thrust him into a full time role, I'm sure it wont take long for opposition coaches to work him out and potentially destroy his confidence.

20-30 mins over the next few games for him and Rose. Ease them into it and give them more games time towards the end of the season. Lets build their confidence and let them loose, rather than throwing them into the fire and seeing if they survive.

The other thing to keep in mind is that young Rose has a ready set position for him next season with Hutch retiring. Obviously he will have to earn that but the signs are good. This is the season to get him ready for that without putting too much pressure on him.

I think Fitzy has been trying to hard to create goals himself and the coach might have said we need more goals from you because he is trying to much to shoot in positions he shouldn't be. He has stung the keepers palms a couple of times on good stiles that have been saved well as well.
Fabio will take some pressure off him. He has tried but he is not at the statge where he can put the team on his back take them where they need to go.

The kids need to be eased in. Subs is fine for a while. You could see the speed was to much for them at times where they were getting picked off when they weren't used to it. It's a huge jump between 30mins and a possible 90.

Stick with same team with Fabio on for duke. We need some consistancy to the line up its what most of us have been asking for.

We need to look back on the last game 3-3 draw against them as well because once the shackles were released it was the best our attackers had played all season. It was just a shame the backs were up to there bad old tricks.

DROP HUTCH !?...after that storming first half and pretty decent second half, he ain't one of my faves, but I wouldn't drop him...now, as for Casceres, I would at best give him the first half only, something has gone sideways in his head, he doesn't seem to want to exert himself anymore, I've heard some say, his done pretty much jack shit since that cracking goal v the scammers, dunno about that, but his lost something

I too think we'll win this.
on paper and in my head it could go either way, maybe even favouring the big orange pussycats.
but gutty tells me we'll roll them and deserve the win too.
go get 'em boys!

On paper they have a slightly better team but mossy finally meets someone who is worse than him.

We can win this if mossy doesn't
f**k it up.

From this morning's email:

Central Coast Mariners Head Coach Phil Moss is calling on fans and members to get behind his boys tonight in a crucial clash against Hyundai A-League reigning Champions, Brisbane Roar and matched his call to arms with a FREE TICKET OFFER.

Friday night football returns to Central Coast Stadium tonight for a 7:40pm kick off and Moss is hoping that the Mariners fans and members will pack the stands with yellow and navy to help get his charges across the line.

Moss noted the importance of a big crowd tonight and placed his stake in the ground with an extra incentive that will allow fans to make the most of a buy-one-get-one-free ticket offer for tonight’s match (see details below).

“It’s a huge match for our season, the team need the support in the stands and I’ve asked the club to reward anyone who pre-purchases their ticket online between now and game time with a FREE TICKET to bring a friend along and help steer the boys home.

“We need a big crowd tonight, we need a great atmosphere. Even though it was small last week the crowd along with the brass band did a great job again and it really helps the boys on the pitch,” Moss said.

The ticketing incentive will allow any person who pre-purchases their ticket online to enter a unique code to claim the buy-one-get-one-free offer by simply entering the code fridayfreebie on the Ticketek website.

The buy-one-get-one-free offer is the perfect chance to team up with a mate and be there tonight for a clash between two teams who have been the most successful competitors of the Hyundai A-League in its modern era.

From this morning's email:

I like that initiative, but at the same time, it scares me a little because I think that the commute is the single biggest impactor on our crowds on a Friday, so there's a risk we'll look horrifying if we don't get close to a full stadium, even with the short notice :(
Personally, I'm otherwise engaged because ticketek or whoever, decided to move a concert from Tuesday to today, so I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed for the team.

A little bit miffed because I bought my ticket before I saw the email. I would have bought one for my son-in-law. Oh well, I still think it's a good idea, hope it does what it's intended to do.

Another dividing initiative.
Shame people who have pre purchased can't jump on board to because if you are giving them away why not give as many as possible.

Plenty on the Sydney commute prob don't even know little own time to organise.

But at least they trying something.
