ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Bistro tried but food overcooked - perhaps teething.
Crowd 7,000 (above the Reds first home crowd)
Kev, does that mean that you are not driving up??? Should I drive or train it???
At the bistro, there wasn't much to eat that was gluten free (only baked dinner), though they did have a gluten free chocolate cake though....
I think it will be 10,000 max and 1-1 draw...

Top post.brett said:I remember about five years ago I was discussing with a good mate of mine this possible new revamped football league and how there was some whispers that a Central Coast team might be included.
As young guys, lifelong Coasties (or close enough to it) and massive football fans, we had this weird perspective on things: we probably knew more about various European league by following the Socceroos and playing Championship Manager than we did about the NSL - it simply didn't exist in the media, had zero presence on the Coast and coming from families that weren't too concerned with football, there was no inclination to travel to domestic league matches.
The concept that the A-League and more specifically the Mariners could fill that gaping hole, destroy that disconnect, was so unbelievably exciting. We could be like those fans we saw on SBS's EPL coverage - we could have a local team to get passionate about, to relate to, and to talk about all the time.
If someone had come back in time from now and said: "This team will exist, it will change your life, and in 2009, it will represent you in a continental club tournament. And not the shit continent we're in now - it will be Asia, and their champions league will be revamped to begin to reflect the European Champions League in stature," I would have punched them right in the face for even trying to con me with something that could be so unbelievably, incomprehensibly good.
I get that the initial glow of having a new national league and a team to represent us has worn right off, but for me, the dream of competing in Asia is a new frontier that is just as exciting, if not more so, as donning the yellow for that first WCC qualifier, or that father's day derby in Rnd2 season1, or the first Grand Final.
This is huge. This is what we've been waiting for. Not just as Mariners fans but as Australian football fans. This privilege is what we ride every pass, tackle and shot for all season. To get to now.
And if I'd said to that time-traveller: "f**kING HELL that is going to be awesome! Epic beyond comprehension! Is everyone bursting out of their pants with anticipation?!?!"
And the person said...: "Nah, everyone is basically doing a collective SIGH over the whole thing because we lost some league games."
Then I would find that hard to believe.

Professional Difficulty, Xbox 360
Mariners 0, Pohang 1........ the game even gets our whole "no defenders on posts" thing right.
