As an unabashed Hutcho supporter I was blown away by his performance last night! At the risk of saying I told you so I predicted a big season from him this year due to a few factors namely the Maltese call up. A lot of people made a joke of it but anyway you slice it playing at International level is a step up and is bound to boost your confidance the pace of the game is faster and I reckon his goal last night prooves that. He picked up the ball, looked up and thought to himself "I can do this"  It was almost slow motion if you get my drift? Keep it up Hutch!

Must say, I loved being there last night. One good thing about moving from Tassie to Brisbane is that I get to watch more Football, especially our boys!!

Hutch was fantastic. He has an odd way of running with the ball, like he has a pole up his arse, but he really keeps his head up, making him one of our best players with vision. I guess all he needed was some support around him creatively to make him really shine. We are looking VERY good!

I didn't notice Crowell on the field till late in the half. I haven't seen enough of him to recognise him yet. He did lay some good tackles though. Pedj was great when he came on. A few errant passes here and there, but the goal was priceless.

Also, Tommy Oar...he got a lot of the ball, but for mine he didn't seem to do anything particularly dangerous with it. There were a few times he got some good balls on the deck in, and his crosses were accurate, but he was kindof predictable when he got it. Isaac Cernak wasn't on for long, but he made his passes really count. Oar is a poor man's Nicky Travis :) Just like Matt Mckay is a poor man's Wee Mac!

Have a look at Brisbaneroar.com, reads like they dominated lol.

Just had another look......it's not there.

We must have an early edition or something.......ffs even an early edition should have a report.I mean the game was finished at 8.15 on Sat night and it doesn't make my Sunday paper ?

Even their web site only has a couple of sentences about the game.I doubt they even had a reporter at the game.

Shit and lazy reporting if you ask me.

Very good performance by CCM and Lawrie put out the perfect team and made great subs as well.
Didn't think we were 3 goals  better than them but we were definately the better side and our defence was rock solid and the middies won their battle.
Danny 8.  What a save!
Heff 8.  Excellent game....really starting to find form again.
Doig 8.  This bloke is so calm and runs the show.  Bit sloppy on the cross that let to Danny's save but basically very very solid.
Wilko 9.  Top game.  Back to season 1 form thanks to experienced CB alongside him.
Boogs 9.  In sensational form this season.

Probably the best back four in the the comp!

Hutcho 9.  Top game and quality goal (would have had two if he had let that one go it 2nd half). Equal MOM with Wilko & Boogs.
Travis 7.5.  This guy is very good and deadly from the edge of the box.  Did fade abit before being subbed.
WeeMac 7.5.  Great work rate and good touch.  Bit quieter than usual but still top job.
Crowell 7.5  This boy can tackle and distribute.  Looks a good find and could be brilliant with a few games under his belt.

Simon 8.  Usual whole hearted effort.
Kwas 7.  Usual mixed bag.  Actually helped Pedj by putting defender in two minds on Boijic goal.

Good use of the subs and they didn't disappoint although I'm still to be convinced by D'Appuzzo.

Has it come to this?
We're complimenting Kwas on achieving the basics?
No offecne but the distracting he did from Kwas...I would hope to see in MAA9.
I expect it from my old u13s team...just normal off the ball movement tbh
Now the actual finish wow!!!
That said the ball should have gone to Kwas.
But maybe Pedj thought Kwas would jsut screw it up :p. Good call if so! :p

Take away Hutch's goal and I'm not sure where some of you are getting this MoM stuff from.He played ok so I'm not slagging him off but really Brisbane dominated the midfield for most of that game and on another day could have won quite comfortably.

MoM for us has to be a defender imo.

Nah.

Hutch was good.  Thought our middies more than held their own.

Kareem...its Kwas.  Yes its his job but its Kwas.  He tries very hard.  stay positive.
