Mariners v Meow

So Doig or Wilko for man of the match ?

Great defending all round but I wish we'd hold the ball a bit longer at times.

I'll take the result though.

Love the result but can't help asking why we can't hold onto the ball a little more when we're in the lead. We allowed meow to put unnecessary pressure back on us; we're very lucky to have kept that clean sheet. Top notch game by the backs and same for the midfield up until 2-0. The, the midfield disappeared until Bojic came back on.

That is a good point you raise ... maybe we play a little to fast at times... also we do not have a back to goal striker who can hold play up ...

Wonderful balance to the team tonight, Crowell could be a real find.

All we lack is a partner for Matty.

Defence was awesome, brilliant performance from all concerned.

Harper was so biased I almost turned the sound off.

Hutch for MoM closely followed by Wilko

Re Harper, yeah me too... When Pedj's goal was another soft goal with a "good" strike at the end of it, I'd had my gut full. If that was Bridge he would have creamed his pants.

Re mom, yeah, for me too.

I thought Pedj would have come on for Kwas - not Travis. We needed to control the midfield and the ball.

That said - great defensive effort and a great save from Danny

Lovely solid effort by all the lads tonight.

I think Roar were a tad unlucky, but it's about time some fortune went our way for a change.

We've just got to lower the number of easy turnovers, and we can butcher any team in this league. Being a fairly new squad with lots of new faces, we can only get better as a unit. I think that showed tonight.

Salivating at the thought of F3 derby against the Bogan Scum next Friday night!

It is VERY frustrating to sit at work, furious about not being at the great Lang Park, and the bloody PC will NOT pick up Coast FM due to a Network hissy-fit.

Thank Christ for foxsports.com.au.

It is possible that my love-chi..., er, Bob Malcolm, is actually slower than the Statue of Liberty??

Great three points away, crucial 3 goals to the good for our GD.

Well done, lads.

Speaking of Lang Park or whatever it's called now.....isn't it a bit ridiculous to be playing in front of 7,000 odd in a stadium that size ?

Isn't there a decent smaller stadium up there where 7-10,000 would generate a decent atmosphere and look ok on tv ?

7,000 in that stadium is not a good look imo.

That's the shit we wanna see!!

I thought Crowell was outstanding and looks to be another great low key signing. Even though Pedj did well off the bench, Crowell > Pedj.

Hutch and Weemac made the difference we thought they would.

We just need to work on keeping the ball more and being able to play out when under pressure instead of hoofing and letting them come back for more. Other than that, great performance.

Crowell played well very happy.
Pedj has played many excellent games for us, and today he comes off the bench and scores a quality goal.

Not sure why you are sure form the relatively little we have seen that he is definitely better than Pedj?  I don't mind, in fact it's better obviously that he is, but interested to know what your basing this on...?

Thought Weemac was quieter today, shut down by roar mids more than usual and be being targeted as the guy to close down for us now you would think.

i couldnt see todays match but from what high lights i saw and other matches, we should seriously give travis a chance up front
the tought of one lightning quick and another sonic quick forward is just too muc for me not to see it, especially with travis radar, being almost consistently spot on!!! bring on derby.

Worth pointing out that Hutch endured a 20 hour flight back from Malta and got in at 2am Saturday - then played a blinder for 80 mins.

Top work

I reckon move Travis to striker and put bojic to RM and bench kwas for the jets game on friday.

LOL - never change a winning side

MMMMmmm... interesting idea.
Good post for the Final third solutions thread Johnno ;)

Usually I'd agree FFC, only that Pedj looks like he may deserve to be on the field more than kwassie.

Re Hutch. Yeah, it's impressive.
