Best game from kwas I've seen, both strikers deserve MOM but due to his effort and crossing skills...

3- Simon
2- kwas
1- Ryan

Thanks for getting suspended Mr McBreen, so that we can see how well two disparate strikers work together.
I wasn't in favour of your signing, you've shown me so very little this season to make me change my mind, and after the other guys' performance tonight, I am convinced we don't need you.
Goodbye.

IMO Amini was the stand out on the field tonight ... he had his best ever game and he did start both out first two goals.... he owned the center of the park ...

Agree on Kawsie & Matty both huge games...

Best opening 45 mins we may have ever played. We controlled the ball and played great possession football. Bridge chased shadows. Played the game plan perfectly. Sydney were all at sea but this was down to the tactics of Arnie.

Almni was fantastic. He chased down, won so many balls last night. He started the goals and owned the midfield. Perez seemed to be hogging the ball instead of passing after the second touch. Im hoping when he gets his fitness and game back both players will start on the park.

What a great night to be a Mariners fan. 4-0 against anyone is a great night BUT 4 BLOT AGAINST SYDNEY BLING is better than sex. 90 minutes getting into a position we have never been before. Kamasutra add that to your encyclopedia. 4-0 what a climax to a great night.

Wasn't it great to have a fluid moving pair of strikers. What a transformation in Matty Simon's ball skills. Gone for the majority of the night were the heavy feet that normally sees the ball ricochet away from him. His close skills were something to behold. Is this transformation because the coaching staff have put in the time and Simon himself has done the hard yards to better himself. Congrats to all involved it worked a treat and hopefully we will see more of the same in the future.

Kwassie you went a long way to putting a sock in the mouth of your detractors (incl me) with that performance. Don't let your standard drop and you will be off the bench more than you have been on it for the rest of the year.

Matty Ryan's positioning was flawless BUT I hope Crawley works with his ball skills. Pushing the ball forward then taking a couple of steps back before clearing the ball he was heart attack material last night with the speed of Danning almost catching him out on a couple of occasions. didn't matter at 4-0 BUT . . .

Dutchy was immense at the back. Unruffled under pressure, towering in the air. He always had time to snuff out anything that a Sydney side totally devoid of ideas for the majority of the night brought to the Mariners defense.

A great night. Wins away in our next two games (difficult task but not unrealistic)would set up the Xmas period at home as a joyous occasion.

McBreen will return to find his spot taken by Kwasnik. Getting a red card was very bad for him. But great for the team!!!

Doesn`t it make you proud to be a Coastie!!!
That`s the type of performance that puts bums on seats.

It shows that we learnt a valuable lesson from the ROAR game..."score early & score often"

I thought Simon & Kwassie were excellent. They continually put pressure on the Bling defence & their runs off the ball were fantastic.
The midfield continually looked for penetrating passes which allowed us to open them up.
The back four were superb. Strong & dynamic

I was particularly pleased to see the MARINATORS back behind the goals & there seemed to be a lot more of them this week.
They certainly were in fine voice which encouraged a lot more people to join them in the second half. (me included)

Every player did his job tonight & it was an outstanding performance. Congratulations to Arnie & all the players,I enjoyed every minute of it.

Thanks Kwas more making my wish come true - awesome performance. I thought everyone played their part: Ryan excellent again, Pedj bravely bringing balance back to the side, Zwaanswijk a warrior leading from the back, Wilko quiet and efficient, Rose must be a smokey for the Socceroos at the Asian Cup, Griffiths Jedi-esque in his abilty to muscle possession and so cool on the ball, McGlinchey tirless, everywhere and defines ball security, Bozanic doing all the hard yards to cover Rose, and Amini quite sublime, beautiful passer, great vision and clearly enjoying playing at this level. But it was the two up front that so caught the eye - Kwasnik the magician with killer runs into the box, Kwasnik the confident and Kwasnik the willing worker but most of all Kwasnik the predator. Loved his attempt at a cheeky back heel flick - which would have put Rose through for an open goal. And that may well have been the best I have seen Matty Simon play. Involved in every goal, the pass to Kwas for the first was pure perfection, his ability to hold the ball up, to take people on, his passing were all first class. In the eighteen pass movement for the third he hit a 30 metre curving ball with the outside of his right foot to switch play - who says this boy has no skill!? Thought Perez made a not unexpected quiet retrun but it will do him good and both Hutch and Doig played solidly. Big ups to Arnie and Moss for getting this team back into the groove so quickly.

MoM 3 points - I give it to Kwas on emotional grounds
2 points - Matty, but logically he contributed even more than Kwas
1 point - McGlinchey but could easily go to Rose, Zwaanswijk, Griffiths or Amini

And for Sydney, that kid Antonis will be a gun in a couple of years
